"Adam did an excellent job cleaning the house. It smells great here. He cleaned our kitchen very nicely and took care of all the surfaces and under the bed and left the house smelling good feeling good. He’s a very nice guy and has an excellent bedside manner. He brings his own products and supplies and cleaning implements, which is also a plus. Totally professional. Would use again."

Small jobs welcome

"These guys are Great! I reached out to them on Yelp and they responded right away. They were able to quote me a price for power was my house and stuck to that price, no surprises. I scheduled the cleaning and had an unexpected trip come up and has to cancel. They were great about it and followed up with me to see if there was anything they could do; which was great, because life got in the way and I totally forgot to reschedule. Will definitely be calling on them again to do some other jobs that need to get done soon!"

"I was VERY impressed with Greg Williams and Jax Vents and highly recommend them the next time you have your dryer vents cleaned or need your chimney swept. Excellent customer service, detail oriented, cleaned up the work area and charged a fair price. Thank you Angie's List for helping me to find an excellent business to work with!"

"Voda Cleaning & Restoration is an excellent company to work with!. John, the owner responded quickly to my request for service & was able to accommodate my tight schedule. Isac, the technician who came to clean my rugs & sectional couch was wonderful to have in my home. His communication as to arrival time was very considerate. Isac explained my options for protecting the rug & couch after cleaning as we have a dog who loves sleeping on the couch…. When the job was finished, my rug & couch looked new again! I highly recommend Voda Cleaning & Restoration & will definitely use their service again."

Sonic Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Moss grows in dark areas of roofs, including in corners and gutters. If left alone, it can grow under roofing and cause permanent damage. Here’s how to remove moss from metal roofs

  • Soak the moss to soften it

  • Scrub it away with a soft-bristled brush, or pick it off with your hands (be sure to wear gloves)

  • Use a moss remover that’s compatible with metal roofing, following the manufacturer’s directions

  • Remove dead moss and rinse the roof thoroughly

  • Prevent future moss growth by trimming branches, cleaning gutters, and attaching zinc strips to moss-prone areas

An improper DIY roof cleaning could cause leaks by damaging the roofing material. Things like using too much water pressure on the shingles or applying a harsh cleaning solution could cause damage. If you do enough damage, you could harm the ability of the shingles or other roof materials to keep water out of your home.

Tile roofs, including clay, concrete, and slate, are considered low-maintenance materials that require fewer repairs and less care than many other roofing options.

  • Clay tiles require minimal maintenance. They stand up well to the elements and UV radiation, repel water, and do not easily stain, discolor, or fade in direct sunlight. Clay tiles do not need sealing. Maintenance is typically only required to replace cracked tiles, which can be caused by foot traffic, extreme weather, or fallen tree limbs.

  • Concrete tiles are also low-maintenance but require more upkeep than clay. They need to be sealed every few years to maintain water resistance, and their color tends to fade more quickly than clay.

Aside from these material-specific needs, general maintenance for tile roofs includes annual inspections, routine gutter cleaning, and addressing repairs as they arise. A well-maintained tile roof can provide 50 to 100 years or more of protection for your home.

In most cases, it is best to leave icicles on your roof and allow them to melt naturally. You should only consider removing them if they are heavy enough to cause damage to your home or pose a risk to people below. Since removing icicles can be dangerous, it is recommended to hire a professional for the job if you have immediate concerns. To prevent the issue from recurring, you should address the underlying cause, such as improving your home's insulation or installing roof heating coils.

A green roof is a roof design that includes a thin layer of vegetation on the roof surface. It’s an environmentally friendly option. Some green roofs may look like they have moss or algae on them, causing neighbors to suggest that you clean the roof. However, you should never try to clean a green roof, as any cleaning methods you deploy will likely kill the vegetation.
