"I recently had the pleasure of working with H&L Insulation that was hired to blow fiberglass insulation into my attic, and I couldn't be more impressed with their professionalism. From the moment he arrived, he was punctual, courteous, and well-prepared. David took the time to explain the process to me and answered all of my questions patiently. He worked efficiently and meticulously, ensuring that every corner of the attic was properly insulated. He also made sure to clean up thoroughly afterwards, leaving no mess behind. Overall, his attention to detail and commitment to quality were outstanding. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of attic insulation!""

"This company beat the socks off another company I considered. For one fee, Green Energy removed ALL the blown in and batt and rolled insulation. On the second day, they installed the spray foam. I had another contractor look at the job - and he said he wished he had hired them for his house. If Green Energy had a yard sign - because I would proudly display it. Sweet people and an excellent job. So glad for this recommendation."

"Maurice and Eric were very professional. They answered all of my questions. They let me go up and take a look when they finished and completely cleaned the garage and driveway. There price was very competitive. I would highly recommend them."

"Richard was a pleasure to work with throughout this process. He was patient with me when I had to go through the process of getting HOA approval, which caused a bit of a delay. Once I was ready, he promptly responded and let me know when he'd be by to begin, which was very quick. His team did a FANTASTIC job with repairing some damaged stucco on my house and the follow-up full paint job of the base walls, trim, and garage look beautiful! I'm so pleased I chose Richard and his team for this project and will recommend them to anybody I come across who needs stucco/paint work. Thanks so much Richard and co!"

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

The proper way to install a window well is to measure the window, dig a hole deeper and wider than the window, place a drainage tube and cap, anchor the well to the foundation, caulk the seam, and backfill the hole. The job requires tools such as a hammer drill and auger and some heavy digging. Proper placement and window well installation are critical to preventing water from leaking into the window.

Yes, egress windows can significantly add value to a home. By making basement and attic areas safer and more livable, they allow you to market these spaces as finished living areas, which increases your property's value. Many homeowners can recover the full installation cost, with some sources citing a return on investment of around 70%. The exact value added depends on your specific home, location, and adherence to local building codes. Beyond financial value, egress windows enhance functionality by adding natural light and comfort. They are also a crucial safety feature, often mandated by building codes to serve as an emergency exit.

Yes, you absolutely need a permit to add a window to your house. Your contractor can likely obtain this permit on your behalf. Ask about this when getting quotes from multiple window contractors.

If improperly installed, an egress window can compromise your foundation’s structural integrity, so it’s important to work with a pro to ensure your foundation remains in good shape. Any money you may save on a DIY egress window installation may cost you in the long run if your foundation is damaged in the process.

Egress windows require regular maintenance to ensure they function correctly. This includes cleaning the glass, inspecting the frame and well for debris, and making sure the cover or well drains properly. It is also important to check that the window sills and wells are watertight and to inspect and repair any damage to the window frame or seals to prevent leaks and maintain functionality.
