"Trucks and workers were promp and worked all day preparing for the concrete. We had extended the width of driveway. They poured leveled and gave instructions to water it daily. Sounds strange but they said it has to for proper curing."
The homeowner's driveway had endured years of wear and tear, resulting in discoloration and numerous cracks across the surface. Additionally, the concrete slabs had become uneven due to the soil settling beneath them.
Due to soil settlement and poorly placed control joints, the customer's driveway had significant cracking. You can see that some stains have formed, indicating that the concrete lacks sealant protection.
The homeowner knew that their home's addition had experienced settlement damage when vertical cracks appeared on the exterior walls.
The homeowner became alarmed when they noticed stair-step cracking patterns emerging from the window frame in the exterior wall of the home.
Upon noticing significant cracks developing in the walls, the homeowner became concerned about their foundation's condition.

"The problem I had with this company is that the salesperson and the actual person that does the work are not in sink Could not do one of the main things I wanted done. Had them replace with other work but now I have to have sidewalk demoed. A double expense for me. Wish the salesman knew what he was doing and I would have just done that from the start. Did like the Garrett that did the work for me. I could tell he was trying to make up for the sidewalk."

"We did not hire Big Hammer Construction because our project was canceled. However Todd and Marcia were wonderful to work with, timely and transparent in their quote and very professional and knowledgeable. Todd spent a lot of time with us, coming up with creative solutions for the issues we were facing with the house. They were both always available to answer any questions we had. I will most definitely hire them on future projects. I recommend them whole heartedly!"

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"From the very first day Frank was on the job, I couldn't believe how much work he accomplished. Everyday before leaving he cleaned up the mess and put my furniture back in place. Frank is very detailed and does beautiful tile work! You can tell that he loves what he does for a liivng. Frank was also extremely helpful in helping me pick out the new cabinets, counter top and paint color. He pulled all the colors together beautifully. I was impressed with how Frank thought out the remodel ahead of time and dealt with minor delays (with the ordering process) in a professional manor. I never had to call the cabinet company to ask about delivery status, Frank was always on top of it! The finished product is gorgeous and I wish that I could post pictures! All my friends are jealous of my new kitchen and dinning room. I will definitely call Frank Pellerito for my next remodel project."

"I have owned 3 houses in ocala , Fl. For about 10 years now. About 2 years ago a good friend of over 30 years recommended GPS to me . They have done extensive renovations in 2 of my houses. They do a complete professional finished job at a great price. They have done total kitchen and bath renovations with a great attention to detail. Painted entire interior and exterior of 1 house with excellent finished quality. Jason's suggestion of a butcher block kitchen was a great choice as well as his talent in color coordinating the project. I am very fortunate to find such a good contractor. I have had many interactions with contractors in florida, New York and New Jersey, and will say GPS is up top on my list and would recommend his work. Thanks Jason."

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

Costs range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and condition of the area.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.
