"I had a ceiling fan installed. I forgot the electricians name but he did a wonderful job; he made suggestions regarding the placement of the fixture and was very knowledgeable and confident. He definitely knew what he was doing. Will definitely hire this company again."

"They were quick to respond, friendly, and easy to work with. We developed an issue and worked with the electrician and the owner to come up with ideas to resolve the issue in our budget. I would hire again."

"Kevin did a great job of installing new tiles in our kitchen, replacing baseboards in our kitchen and dining room, and installing a new bathroom faucet. Before the job, we met to discuss what needed to be done and the materials each of us would get. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, and Kevin was always on time or early. He's also great about cleaning up at the end of the day. The kitchen looks great now. Thank you, Kevin!"

"It went great! Miguel arrived early as usual. He removed the old bathroom vanity and sink. Once that was done, we realized that the new vanity was not large enough to cover an unfinished part of the floor and wall. Miguel helped me return the vanity and sink to the store and I reordered the same sink/vanity in a larger size. Two weeks later when the new one arrived at the store, Miguel picked it up for me and then came back to my house and installed it. Miguel does great work. He really goes above and beyond. I love the new hardware, sink and the look of the new vanity in my guest bath!"

Bathroom Fan Installation FAQs, answered by experts

As a general rule of thumb, clean your fans whenever you tidy up the home. Fans benefit greatly from a light weekly cleaning and a deep cleaning at the start of each season. If it’s been a while since you touched up the fans with oscillating blades, start with the deep cleaning before moving on to the lighter touch-ups. If you’re unsure when to clean fans and other parts of the home, learn how often you should clean your home.

A small wobble isn’t worrisome, especially when you’re using your fan at top speed, but a significant one is. Ball joint fans, which are used on sloped ceilings, are more likely to wobble than a standard fan based on their design. But even then, you shouldn’t see significant wobbling, as this can be a sign of a bad installation.

Fan power is measured by CFM, or cubic feet per minute. For every 1,000 feet of square footage in your attic, you need a minimum of 700 CFM. Steeper roofs may need larger fans or about 840 CFM.  You can figure the size of attic fan you need by multiplying the square footage of your attic floor by 0.7. (multiply by 1.2 for a steep roof and 1.15 for a dark roof). That number is the CFM required for your fan to run efficiently.

While wood stove fans are effective for improving heat distribution, they rely on the stove reaching a certain temperature to operate efficiently. If the stove does not generate enough heat, the fan may not start or may not move air effectively. Additionally, like any fan, wood stove fans cannot cool a stove or reduce its heat output—they only redistribute existing warmth.

You can easily clean an electric fan by wiping it with a damp cloth, all-purpose cleaner, or mild detergent. Ensure the fan is not plugged in or turned on while you’re cleaning it. Also, try to keep liquids out of the motor, which can lead to damage.
