"They replaced a pump in my courtyard fountain which was a challenging job due to the characteristics of the fountain. John was timely and efficient. He was very reasonably priced and tested the results several times before he was satisfied. Some companies would not want to do a small job like mine. I would recommend them highly."

"We met Jeffrey Voth, the owner of Elegant Lighting at the Home Show at Tropicana Field and we discussed our interest in night time lighting for our home. We agreed on a date and Jeff came to our home to discuss our lighting plan. He made suggestions that we hadn't thought of that really enhanced the look of our home and highlighted our landscaping. The best part of what Elegant Accents offers is what Jeff calls a soft install. He came during the day and installed all the lights and then came again after dark. We moved lights around for almost two hours and were able to see how they would actually look during the night time hours. When we were completely satisfied the lights were permanently installed the next day. Jeff was very professional and easy to work with. Our house looks wonderful at night now and if you want outdoor lighting I highly recommend Elegant Accents. Peter Bosco"

"I contacted the company and a date was quickly set up for an onsite quote. The gentleman that came was very professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. I did not use this company for the service required because their quote was the highest of all bids I received."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Yes, many brands make models similar to endless pools with a range of features. Some companies feature temporary aboveground pools that imitate the effect of permanent installations. Small home pool spas—or spools—as well as lap pools and pools without propulsion designs for water aerobics are also available.

Koi fish should be in the shade and can’t be directly exposed to the sun. Consider building your koi pond in a shaded spot or hanging an awning over the top to control the amount of sunlight coming in. Learn how to design a landscape properly.

Lifespans vary by material and manufacturer, but pond liners last anywhere from 10 to 75 years. For example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pond liners have a life expectancy of up to 20 years. Other types of pond liners, including those made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), can last 40 to 50 years.

While they’re popular and have a lot of pros, the cons of river rocks include the following:

  • River rocks don’t break down or provide nutrients to plants.

  • These stones can get hot and scorch nearby plants.

  • River stones may heat the surrounding soil to inhospitable temperatures.

  • Rocks can block rainwater from seeping into the ground if installations are too thick or tightly packed.

Most downsides occur when using river rock as mulch in gardens and flower beds. However, you can still incorporate river rocks into your landscape as long as you use them in the correct ways.

One of the most important parts of building a pond is digging the right depth. Your pond needs to be at least one to two feet deep. The specifics of the depth will depend on factors such as the placement of the pond and whether you plan on having fish. If you have fish in your pond, it will need to be at least two feet deep.
