Jim and his crew did a great job installing a drought-tolerant landscape in the front yard ( removing grass and shrubs) and installing pavers in back. The pavers increased my patio entertainment space and they look great. The crew was easy to work with and respectful of my property.

Jim and his crew were great, even when some unforeseen obstacles were uncovered while digging. Very punctual and professional. Upon completion, Jim thoroughly discussed each aspect of the project. Fairly priced. Haven't had a big rain to determine the effectiveness of the new drainage but I am quite confident that the new system will remove water as desired.

Jim was great from the start. After multiple calls to many landscaping companies for quotes, Jim was one of the few that came through and was the most reasonably priced. He worked with us to bring the cost down to where my wife and I were comfortable. The work was very labor intensive, and they got it done in 3 days. Proper irrigation (sprinklers attached to hoses) was critical to this establishment. Do not hesitate to hire Second Nature Landscaping!

Reviews of Second Nature Landscaping published in Angie’s List were good, so I hired the company despite a relatively high bid price. The project was finished in timely fashion and appeared to meet all expectations; however, less than a month after completion, a very bad leak developed around one of the sprinklers included in the lawn irrigation portion of the project. The leak worsened, requiring that I shut off an entire watering zone. I called to report the problem, but the owner abruptly told me to call back on Friday - four days later. When I called that Friday, the owner said they were very busy and I would have to wait at least three or four weeks. He told me to keep calling and “he would see.” Rather than hope for Second Nature Landscaping to stand by its work, I hired another company that very Friday. The succeeding company completed the repair the next business day, quickly, effectively, and at a reasonable cost.

Second nature landscaping came and installed two trees, sod, ground the stumps from previous trees, did bobcat work, and leveled out the yard. They were extremely professional and easy to work with! I would recommend them to anyone in need of landscaping. Couldn't have asked for better service.

Jim & his team did a great job! Jim communicated throughout the process so that we knew what to expect and when. He provided the estimate the same day as our consultation. He & his team arrived on time & wasted no time in grinding shrub stumps (7) & bringing front yard to a even level from where a huge **** tree had been removed several years ago & had left a large mound in yard. He & his team also set up edgers for a front flower bed. Jim & his team kept the work site clean throughout the process from beginning to end. He provided watering & mowing care instructions for the fresh sod which will be key to maintaining a green sod in the heat of summer. Following his instructions have my Mom's front lawn looking great! We will definitely use Jim & his team again for any of our landscaping needs. My Mom’s front yard had needed some help for many years. Jim & his team helped to bring her yard back to life!

Best landscaper in St. Pete! I've worked with several landscapers in Pinellas County including Flordiginous, Landscape by Design, Tommy Todd and others. I mean no disrespect to them, but sometimes you learn this stuff through trial and error. Jim and his crew did a great job! From start to finish Jim was very responsive in designing a drainage system to address the issues on our property. I had a number of detail questions after the original bid, so Jim stopped by to take another look, go over things with me -- always very patient and professional. I am very pleased with the finished product, and am very confident it will take care of the problems. You can tell a lot from the finishing touches -- relatives couldn't even tell there had been a system installed until I pointed out the grates. Jim and his crew's attention to detail was superb.

Jim and his crew were very professional and courteous and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We absolutely love the way everything looks. The drainage even passed the test as on the last day of work it poured down rain all morning but Jim and his crew kept on working right through it. They are super friendly and great to work with and not just out to make a buck. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping and paver work.

We had few contractors come and look at our problem with rainwater not draining quick enough from the back yard and getting into the house. Jim was the only one that was willing to entertain different ideas and to save us money proposed a solution in different phases. Phase I was completed in Sep on 2016 and so far seems like that may take care of the problem. Recently we found that one of the pumps he installed was not working. Jim came out within couple of days, assessed the situation, found out that the pump has burned out and replaced it not charging for any labor, just the cost of the pump. His customer service is great, he stands by his product and is willing to work with the homeowner to come up with the best and most cost effective solution.

Second Nature was hired to solve a water problem, and to re-landscape after a large tree had been removed. The owner, James, was knowledgeable and professional in explaining how to tackle the drainage problem; which he did by adding drains and regarding the area. As for landscaping, we met with James at a nursery and he explained which plants would do best with reclaimed water and eastern exposure. Irrigation and lightning were also part of the package.  The job turned out great, and I would highly recommend this company.

Jim and his crew were great to work with. Jim was professional and timely in his first visit to our home to provide an estimate. He provided an estimate that allowed us to pick and choose the services we wanted completed. Upon hiring him he was great about communicating his arrival times, and on the day of the job he and the crew were very fast and thorough in the job. We'll definitely call them again when we have additional needs for our yard and landscaping.
