"All I can say is that I recommend total coverage insulation for your insulation needs. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. The owner himself came out to give me a quote and explained everything to me very thorough. When the guys came out to do the job they were very clean and polite. They wear booties and masks and left the house as if nothing ever happened. Highly recommend it"

"Hired A Kool to replace my AC ducts. I received 3 quotes from different companies Company 1 - Good price but told me he couldn?t work from the attic due to lack of space so he suggested I cut holes in the ceiling so he could work from inside Company 2 - Quote 21K ? A Kool - Price was right and I did not have to cut any holes in the ceiling as they did all work from the attic. Crew was very professional, and very thorough in their work. Salesman Promised the job would be done in a day and job was done in a day. Crew showed up at 7am and didn?t leave until the job was done (8:00 pm) Will Hire them to blow insulation in the attic as they found that the attic was not properly insulated. Excellent experience."

"I had an excellent experience with this insulation company and their crew. From start to finish, they were professional, timely, and extremely organized. They explained all my options clearly, offered fair pricing, and followed through on everything they promised. The crew worked efficiently, respected my home, and completed the job exactly as scheduled. They also helped me secure an FPL rebate, which was a huge added benefit and showed how knowledgeable they are about available energy‑saving programs. Overall, the service was smooth, honest, and high‑quality. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable insulation work."

"Ron and his crew from Homecare Experts did a fantastic job of removing not only my old poorly blown-in attic insulation but also the ratty rolled insulation under it. Then, they installed the new blown-in high-quality insulation, all at a very reasonable cost. And, they completed the job in a day and a half without leaving a trace of a mess. I highly recommend Homecare Experts."

"The representative inspected the insulation on my attic and assure me that the insulation met the specifications. What impressed me the most was his honesty, he assured me that I had what I needed. No additional insulation was needed. Anyone else probably would have tried to sell me more insulation. Thanks for your honesty!"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

On average, drywall installation costs around $2,000, with a typical range of $400 to $6,000, including materials and labor. The final price depends on several factors. The most significant is the size of the area, as many contractors charge per square foot. Other cost factors include the complexity of the job (e.g., cutting around multiple windows and doors, corners, or curved walls), accessibility, location, the thickness of the drywall, the height of the room, and the desired level of finish. The level of finish can range from simply hanging the drywall to taping and mudding the seams and painting the walls.

Costs depend on damage extent of damage, labor, finishing, and whether mold remediation is needed.

How you hang the drywall can affect the finishing process. It's often easier to finish horizontal drywall panels, as the seams run across the wall rather than up and down. Standard drywall panels are 48 inches wide, so the seam is easy to reach without bending down or stretching your arms.

The age of your home can clue you in to whether you have plaster or drywall ceilings. Homes built after the ‘70s are more likely to have drywall ceilings and walls, while older homes have plaster. You can also do the pushpin test: A pushpin will go into drywall, whereas it’s much harder to push one into a plaster wall. If you’re still unsure, ask a drywall professional to let you know which type of ceilings and walls you have.

Plaster is denser, harder, and more porous than drywall, so it absorbs moisture differently. This means you’ll often need more prep work, such as thorough sanding, patching, and priming with a high-quality bonding primer. Additionally, you may need more coats of paint to achieve even coverage. While the process takes more time, it helps ensure a durable and professional-looking result.
