"I think that I got them through Angie's List. They were fine and did a good job. They came when they said they would. I live far from them and so they had a little transportation cost but they told me about that in advance. They did what they said they were going to do and the carpets are clean. They used a machine with a brush that went around in circles and that pulled up some fibers from the wool carpet in my master bedroom. A machine that uses just vacuum without a brush would probably not do that. I used them through the Angie's List Big Deal and the price was exactly what had been advertised. The company that had advertised in Angie's List was in Miami, and they handed over the work to another company in Pompano Beach, and this company did not know about the Big Deal price. This misunderstanding was the only issue and I had to pull out the paper and show it to them, and they agreed."

"Mixene called me back promptly to set up the appointment.  They came a little late due to traffic, but Mixene called to let me know they were on the way.  His female worker primarily cleaned the kitchen (including refrigerator and oven), and bathrooms because I was having the carpet and tile professionally cleaned a few days later.  All in all it was a good job, and I would use them again.

"Emo took the job and showed up with 3 of his crew the next day.  They worked 7 of the next 8 days, finishing the job in a timely manner.  Emo was there every day working and supervising his crew.  At one point, I observed him have a worker re-slope the shower pan so that it would drain better. The bathroom walls were re-tiled and the 2 bedroom floors were tiled.  I was very happy with the work and the new look of the bathroom and bedrooms.  "

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

Regular vacuuming, deep cleaning, and prompt stain removal help maintain appearance and durability.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls, and its cushioning can lessen the severity of an injury if a fall does occur. Hard surfaces often lack the friction needed for a secure tread and can be quite slippery.

However, it's worth noting that some carpets can also be slick, particularly if they are brand new, dirty, or made from certain materials. If any stair surface feels too slippery, traction treads can be added to most materials to increase grip and improve safety.

You can use a carpet patch to replace a single section of carpet. You’ll cut out the damaged section and then replace it with a caret patch. The patch should be the same color as the existing carpet. You can also hire a professional carpet repair company to get it done.

Yes, you can revive carpet that’s flattened using household items like an ice cube and stiff brush, a damp cloth and an iron, baking soda and vinegar, and shaving cream. If you want to go all-out, visit a local home improvement store and buy a carpet rake, too. Depending on the state of your carpet, you may need to use more than one of these methods to see results. Keep in mind that you might need to repeat a reviving method more than once.

Vacuum regularly, clean spills promptly, and schedule professional deep cleaning annually.
