"At first, they seemed great. The guy who answered was very polite and seemed professional and very helpful. He suggested that I send it in to Apple, because it would be cheaper than for them to do it. I asked if they'd do it to a 3rd gen, because it's older, and he said yes. He was looking at their info while on the phone. I was hesitant, because I expected that to take a couple of weeks due to shipping, but he said they overnighted it both ways for $7. I asked what it would cost to have them do it, in case I decided not to, and he said that it would cost $99 just to open it up, because they had to break the screen to do so. Total to replace the battery and speaker was $180, including the new screen. I know from looking at youtube videos on how to do this repair that you do not have to break the screen. If this shop breaks the screen of every iPad that they open, then I wouldn't trust them with the inner components either. Hopefully their fault is incompetence rather than dishonesty, but either way I will not be using their services. To top it off, Apple won't do any service, including battery replacements, for the original iPad, 3rd generation iPads, or the iPad 3G. I had two Apple techs on chat to confirm this for me. CPR struck out. FYI, I read on another review site that they put stickers on the inside of your device. This voids the warranty, so if you did send it to Apple within your warranty period after CPR touched it, you'd be out of luck. (They found this out after taking it to a different 3rd party shop following a faulty CPR repair, according to the review)"
