I spent about six hours scraping paint off of countertops, floors, curtain rods, etc.. Had to spend money on getting razors, steel wool and buying brushes to paint what the painter was paid to paint and didn't. I was told in the beginning that they aren't maids by the owner but they failed to tell me I would be their helper scrapping paint, painting what they didn't and cleaning up after them.
Mr. King did offer to come back the next week but we had renters coming in and it needed to be done prior to the next week. After the mess I encountered I surely didn't want to go through all that again I deducted the price of my painting from the balance owed to Mr. King and sent the remaining amount of what I owed him.
Lesson Learned!
"I'm sorry that you were not happy with the work we did in your unit last year how ever I was unaware of all the problems you have stated here. We did do everything on the estimate including painting the laundry room. I mentioned to you as I do with most customers we generally paint closets white due to the lack of light, so we painted the closet white. You mentioned to me that we didn't paint the laundry room so I explained how we painted it white and if you were unhappy with that we would come back and re paint it any color you choose. You did not take me up on my offer. We had a lot of work to do in your unit in just 5 days as you were coming down right after we were finished. We did everything on the estimate as quoted with 2 coats, not all the paint was dry when we left to look at the finished product using oil base on the ceiling grids and doors the paint does take a day to dry, if certain area's did not cover I told you we would come back and put additional coats on as needed but you have not taken me up on the offer. We do not use cheap paint. We only buy paint from reputable paint stores PPG Porter/ Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams and we never buy the cheap products you can check with any paint store they all know the products and no one will say we use the cheap paint. Again I apologize for any paint splatter that was left that should NOT have been there, I wish you had called me rather than spend hours cleaning it yourself and getting upset. I did offer to pay for the picture you said we got paint on, I did not see it but gave you credit for a new picture anyway. We stand behind out work and have many happy customers I am sorry that you were not one of them. I have offered to fix any problems but you decided not to take me up on my offer. We did do everything on the the estimate quoted including patching the walls.You maybe can't tell we patched but that is the idea you cannot see where we patched."
1) I received several estimates and Brush Strokes was competitive but not the lowest.
2) I was managing this project remotely and Brush Strokes provided updates through phone conversations, email, text, and pictures
3) I had a 3rd party look at the work performed as it progressed and Brush Strokes immediately addressed any workmanship issues.
I highly recommend Brush Strokes painting for both Interior and exterior painting work. The carpentry and painting teams provided a good value product.
