Couldn't be more happy. The staff provided knowledgeable, friendly, fast service. Mike was the technician that came out to our home. He was right on time, and did a great job of social distancing along with fixing our heating unit. He also explained what the issues was and simply fixed the problem. These guys were skilled, quick, and nice to work with. They had to remove my gate to get the A/C in, and they hung it back nicer than it was. The install was clean and without any leaks in the house or basement, and the A/C does a great job keeping us cool in the hot months so it was sized well for our home. My ONLY gripe. They installed a power outlet on my heater that blocks me from changing the air filter on that side. I had them come back out to address this, but ultimately it's still an issue today. A minor PITA once every 6 months.

Really, really well. These guys accommodated a rush request, dealt with a tight squeeze without blinking, and did some real quality work all around. The electrical contractors they brought in from Vancouver also did a fantastic job with their installation. Definitely recommend.

He diagnosed the problem quickly. He had to order a part which was available the next business day. The repair took less than an hour. The service person was friendly and professional. I felt that he was honest and didn’t try and sell us anything we didn’t need.

The estimator who came out took careful measurements in order to calculate the size/capacity of heating units that I would need. In order for this work to be done, a new high-voltage electric circuit needed to be added to my house. Conveniently, they arranged for an electrician to come and do this on the same day that they installed the rest of the system. The installation went smoothly. Daikin is reputed to be one of the better brands for this type of equipment, and this system has worked out well for me for the last three years since they installed it. I do need to have Milwaukie Heating and Cooling come back about once a year to do an equipment check and preventive maintenance, which costs about $180 each time. In addition, I need to remember to remove and vacuum the air filters on the three indoor units about every 1 to 3 months, depending on usage. In really extended, extremely cold weather, I may occasionally still use my electric wall heaters (my old heating system) as a backup, since heat pumps tend to be a bit less efficient at extreme temperatures (just because of the science of how they work). On the positive side, I now have very effective summer air conditioning, but since my winter heating is more energy-efficient than it used to be, my total electric power use has not gone up in the way it would have, had I used window air conditioners instead of a heat pump. And the heat pump system has worked without any problems. (Note: Cost figure given below was my up-front, out-of-pocket cost for installation. It does not include the $800 Energy Trust rebate that the company helped me apply for, nor the $1300 Oregon tax credit that they offered to help me apply for as well. Also, service date cited is initial installation date, although, as I said, they have returned since for routine maintenance.)

Greg explained our options, and we chose to replace unit. He cleaned up nicely when done.

Milwaukie Heating and Cooling's trained, experienced, and certified professionals did a beautiful and correct installation of my new heat pump. From the sale to the completion of the installation I felt I was with an exceptional company and employees. They knew the energy and other credits available and provided ALL the necessary the paperwork filled out for me to submit. Milwaukie Heating and Cooling is an outstanding company to deal with; the employees care about doing excellent work, "love" their jobs and their company. There was never any pressure to buy the heat pump just the details, rebates, energy credits, and cost for me to consider. I AM SO THANKFUL I DISCOVERED MILWAUKIE HEATING AND COOLING. Ten years ago, I used an independent contractor and got a "terrible," unsafe, fire hazard, mess of an installation which was verified by HVAC representatives from more than one company. This was photographed noted by an electrician and more than three HVAC specialists.

These guys were amazing. Starting with their sales guy who came over, evaluated our house, and helped us choose the right furnace for us to the guys who did the installation - the who thing was a very positive experience. When it came to the installation, they showed up on time and immediately got to work. They were incredibly efficient and worked together like a well-oiled machine. The job, which was slated to take two days, was done in 1.5 days. They were professional, personable, and excellent communicators. And they definitely know their stuff - very smart guys. We will definitely be using them for all our service needs in the future. They also took the time at the end of the project to walk us through care and maintenance of our new equipment.

From Larry's visit, to quotes, to delivery and installation of equipment, everything happened when it was promised and all work was completed on time and professionally. They cleaned up after the job and I got a call to make sure everything was to my satisfaction.
