"Robert, the owner and his team installed all the necessary equipment for my new pool such as a salt cell, spa bubbler, automation, pump, electric and solar heater. Six months later and everything is still running smoothly."

"My experience with Responsible Pools was nothing short of wonderful, throughout. Dean was prompt, pleasant and thorough with our initial communications, even responding after hours. He arrived the next day, and thoroughly accessed my current pool system setup, then spent a LOT of time explaining detailed various options for me (my "setup" request was a very unique, unusual one). He was honest and instead of trying to upsell, he recommended a smaller unit, suggesting the larger one would be "overkill" for my small pool. The quote for the exact same equipment, warranty and labor (actually, more detailed-labor) was MUCH more competitive and fair as compared to the other companies I'd considered. Upon project initiation, Brandon was on time and did an incredible job with a very challenging, unique pump system setup. He worked mindfully and diligently, arranging a very unique, complicated(due to my unusual request), easy to control, effective system. I couldn't be happier!"

Small jobs welcome

"Penny Lane Pool and Spa Corp took my pool from green to crystal clear, and I couldn’t be happier. The team was super professional but also easygoing and honest, no pressure, no upselling, just solid, quality work. They showed up on time, explained what they were doing, and made the whole process stress-free. It’s not every day you find a company that’s this reliable and genuinely cares about doing a great job."

"Having a pool can produce alot of fun and alot of headaches.  Ten Plus Service allowed my family and guests to have alot of fun soon after experiencing a major headache.  My pool heater was not working with guests arriving for the holiday weekend.  I called Ten Plus Service and the girl who answered the phone  tried to help resolve the issue without needing a technician.  After walking me through a number of suggestions to try, it was determined the heater needed a professionall, so she scheduled a service tech to come out within 24 hours.

First, she explained the billing was done in 30 minute increments, which concerned me at first, as I could forsee a very expensive repair, but true to her words, the service was completed in less than 30 minutes (the average service repair for Ten Plus).

While the tech was on-site, he also looked quickly at the other pool equipment to make sure he didn't see any other problems,
which it turned out I was having, as my pool pump was leaking slightly.  He said he could do the repair or it might be less expensive to have my pool company take care of it, as it was a minor drip.

Ten Plus Service is honest, knowledgeable and courteous -- hope I never need their help again, but if I do, I will not hesitate to call them!"

"The owner of the company gave me detailed information regarding the product and my options. He then was able to tailor the products specific to my needs. The service was exceptional. His team even removed my old equipment, installed new plumbing along with my new pool filter and gave me an great lesson on operating my new solar system. (The tech suggested I record the lesson...great idea!) The follow up after the installation was awesome and the staff are efficient and professional. Would definitely recommend!"

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.

Similar to a hot tub, swim spas last anywhere from five to 20 years, depending on quality and your attention to maintenance. The best way to increase the lifespan of your swim spa is to carefully maintain it—including draining it around every six months to deep clean the parts.

If water is left inside the hot tub pump over a cold winter, it could freeze and severely damage the pump, water lines, and jets. That can cause leaks, which require very expensive repairs. Freezing or leftover water can stain and damage the hot tub shell, which leads to replacement. Even in mild climates, leaving sitting water in the tub or pipes for a long period of unuse is a bad idea, since disinfecting chemicals fade and the water can develop bacteria, algae, and other big headaches when it’s time to use the tub again.

Hot tubs don’t necessarily add value to a home—but they don’t take it away either. It depends on the potential buyer. A well-landscaped in-ground hot tub is attractive to buyers who prioritize relaxation and fun. Others would rather not deal with the maintenance.

It’s possible to move a hot tub on its side or base as long as it fits snugly in the moving truck, with plenty of padding around it. This moving method requires specialized equipment and careful planning, like moving straps, dollies, and moving blankets.
