"We are extremely pleased with our new paver patio. They listened to what we wanted and then made excellent suggestions. Finished patio is beautiful and we've received numerous compliments. Their bid was very reasonable although our deciding factor was their customer service and knowledgeable staff."

"Hired to completely redo our landscaping (backyard, front walk, front flowerbed). Responsive, friendly and transparent. Before the transformation our backyard neglected and was mostly weeds. After Steve got done our family friends and neighbors complemented his work and called our backyard a tropical oasis. I would recommend his service to anyone in the market and I would use him again for future projects."

"3400 sq ft patio, ten years old with multiple areas of subsidence and root damage. Manuel and his crew removed every paver, leveled the surface, reinstalled the pavers and replaced the retention wall. It was accomplished in 3 days of work. All elements of the job were accomplished quickly and professionally, and the patio looks better than new. An excellent experience in all respects."

"Fantastic experience! John was very communicative, gave accurate expectations regarding cost and timing. The crew was friendly, courteous, and hard-working. Not the most nor least expensive of quotes received, but the job done was extremely high quality for the quoted price. The front and back patios were done quickly and look amazing! Strongly recommend. UPDATE: Several months after the work was completed to my complete satisfaction, I needed to finally turn on my sprinkler system and discovered a leak under the paver work. John had his crew over and they fixed the problem in less than half an hour, great work again!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

Yes, adding a sunroom can increase your home's value, with a return on investment (ROI) ranging from 20% for a screen room to 50% for a three- or four-season room. The amount of value added depends on the design. Fully insulated, temperature-controlled four-season sunrooms add the most value as they can be included in the home's total living space. In contrast, simpler structures like Arizona rooms or solariums typically have a lower return as they don't count as legal living space. A high-quality sunroom can also be an attractive feature for potential buyers, especially those who enjoy gardening. The value may also be higher in warmer climates where this feature is more sought after. When deciding, consider both the potential resale value and the personal value you will get from using the room.

How many square feet a sheet of plywood can cover depends on the size of the plywood sheet. A 4x8 sheet of plywood covers 32 square feet, while a 5x5 sheet of plywood covers 25 square feet. The cost to board up a window with plywood or install plywood under a new roof will depend on the total size of the area.

An Arizona room may or may not count toward your home’s square footage, depending on local regulations and the specifics of the room, but generally does not get included in the total square footage. In many locations, a room needs to be built to the same quality as the rest of the home, have an integrated heating/cooling system, and be habitable year-round to count toward square footage.

In almost all cases, you will need permits if you plan on building a sunroom over your patio, but regulations and requirements will depend on your municipality. Permits to enclose your patio will usually cost between $300 and $1,000. Since navigating local building codes and zoning requirements is challenging—and the consequences of not following them can be extremely expensive—we strongly recommend hiring a sunroom builder to complete the work and pull the permits for you.

Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.
