"Contracted Long Baths to install new shower on 3/21/24. Salesmen were very professional. 4/18/24 New shower installed. The contractors did a terrific job on the installation, very hard working contractors. All was good, except they were suppose to extend one shower wall about 4 inches around corner. They did not do that and they knew nothing of this. Called that very day to Long Baths, left message to call back. No call back! Called a few times and finally spoke to representative. She said she would have someone call us. No call back! Called one of the salesmen. He remembered our conversation of wanted one wall to be extended to cover a problem area. He also said he would call us back. No call back! Its now, 2 weeks later and still no call back?? Bottom line, do not contract Long Baths â bad customer relations!"

"Approximately one year ago, we hired a screening company to replace our ancient lanai cage and also to add a roof to the porch. The roof leaked after the first rain. The screening company returned four times to fix our leaking roof but they were never successful. They never answered our fifth call nor did they ever return our calls after that. Jim Ayers, owner of Stuart Roof Repairs, was recommended to us by our neighbors. We found Jim to be honest, ethical and his attention to detail is exquisite. Jim spent a fair amount of time trying to determine the source of our leak. Once he figured what our problem was-he spent an incredible amount of time explaining in detail the solution to our leak. We hired Jim and his crew. They worked very hard in sweltering heat. Suffice it to say that we are now leak free despite torrential rains. I trust Jim. I will recommend him. I would hire him in a heartbeat. The man is brilliant"

"We used Douglass restoration for a new roof at our property on Anna Maria Island a few years back. It has held up very well, but had a little damage done to it after the hurricanes in 2024. "On September 16, 2025, I met with a Paradise Exteriors sales representative who first quoted me $113,000 for window and door replacement. After a few “calls with the owner,” the price was lowered to $82,000 on the condition that I sign the contract and pay a $5,000 deposit that same evening. I was assured that under Florida law, I would have three business days to cancel without penalty. The following day, I emailed the sales representative to cancel. On the morning of September 19th, within the three-day cancellation window—I hand-delivered the signed Notice of Cancellation to their office. Mark Hildreth, Vice President of Operations, signed and misdated the document for September 20 instead of September 19, which would have made it appear I missed the deadline. When I later checked the form in my car, I noticed the incorrect date. I immediately returned to the office, where an employee tried to white out the error; I insisted on a new signature and correct date. Despite complying fully with Florida Statute §501.025, which requires refunds within ten business days of cancellation, Paradise Exteriors failed to return my $5,000 deposit. When I called, they said it was in review and they actually have 14 days. I reached out to the sales rep and asked to investigate it , I spoke to an employee at a booth they had set up and had him send a strong message back to the owner. None of that helped me get my deposit back, until October 15, 2025—more than three weeks later—I had an attorney send a certified letter. Only then did the owner personally call and hand-deliver the refund that evening. Based on my research, this appears to be a recurring practice. Public complaints show other consumers waiting for refunds after cancellations. Paradise Exteriors currently has 37 BBB complaints in the past three years yet still holds an A+ rating. And 30 negative reviews on Angie’s and they still have 4.5 stars. These ratings do not help the consumer and I ask that you review your ratings"
