"Expensive and only half solved half of my problem. Had two leaks, one in bathroom and one in kitchen. Repaired drain leak in bathroom, for $350, but I passed on $150 reconnection effort (A job I completed in 15 minutes). Provided good referral for kitchen leak repair. Repairman very personable and competent"

"I have used T Parke Services over the past few years as recommended by my home watch guy. However, today I fully learned the value of their services. Opened my garage door today and was confronted by water, water everywhere!! My hot water heater was leaking profusely. Called T Parke! I spoke with VP Jessica who said they were covered up but would have someone at my home today, before they went home. Wow!!! That's the customer service I remember from the good old days. These folks want to grow their business and they know how to take care of customers. I AM VERY IMPRESSED!! I will be their customer for life."

"A good job done. However when leaving with the old water heater on the dolly, the drain was open and leaked rusty water on my front sidewalk which stained it."

"Darnel has a father and son team. He provided good customer communication throughout the process. He was on time and did a great job removing tree debris. Darnel and his son worked 2 hours straight and charged a fair price. I definitely would hire again."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

It does matter which way a hinge is installed because it’s possible to install a hinge backward. The hinge pin should face the direction in which the door will swing, making the pin visible. Exterior doors that swing outward need a security hinge with an Allen set screw in the center to prevent someone from removing the hinge from the outside and accessing the home or business.

Each has its use, depending on the scenario. Security doors are primarily intended to keep people out of the home, while storm doors are used to protect the home from extreme weather. Both tend to be made from heavy-duty metal and may include glass panels to allow light to enter the home. Storm doors can feature mesh screens, just like screen doors, to allow for increased ventilation and to keep out pests. Security doors rarely, if ever, have mesh screens.

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

To maintain a storm door's functionality and appearance, you should regularly clean the glass and frames, lubricate the hinges and other moving parts, and inspect the seals for any signs of wear.

You can install a storm door on almost any door. Storm doors are designed to fit single exterior door frames. Whether a specific door fits into an existing frame depends on the frame's size and configuration. Patio and sliding doors are exceptions, as some aren’t designed to accommodate storm doors. A local door installer may be able to modify a frame to fit a storm door.
