"Expensive and only half solved half of my problem. Had two leaks, one in bathroom and one in kitchen. Repaired drain leak in bathroom, for $350, but I passed on $150 reconnection effort (A job I completed in 15 minutes). Provided good referral for kitchen leak repair. Repairman very personable and competent"

"RotoTech is simply the BEST! A big shout out to John, the owner, & Emily, who is PRICELESS! My latest project was replacing three master bathroom faucets. Emily was very helpful in ordering them. What sets RotoTech apart for me, is how much they really care about you, as a customer!"

I have been a licensed plumbing contractor and business owner since 2010, and a licensed general contractor since 2018. My experience in the trades dates back to 2001, and I have owned and operated a plumbing and HVAC service company since 2010.\n\nWhen you hire Water Safe Construction, you are not getting a service technician or employee—you are working directly with a licensed contractor and company owner. I personally handle the diagnosis and repair of your plumbing and HVAC systems.\n\nI take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring complete customer satisfaction on every project.

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

The time to install a storm door varies based on who is doing the work and the complexity of the job. Professional installation typically takes a few hours, often between 1 to 2 hours, ensuring a perfect fit. For a DIY project with a standard, pre-hung storm door, you can expect it to take about 3 to 5 hours. However, if the door opening needs to be expanded or significant frame adjustments are required, the installation could take more than a day, in which case hiring a professional is recommended.

While sometimes used interchangeably, screen doors and storm doors have key differences. Screen doors are simple structures, typically composed of just a frame and a screen, designed to keep out bugs while allowing air circulation. In contrast, storm doors are heavier and more complex, built to protect your home's main entry door from weather and intruders. They usually feature an aluminum frame with interchangeable tempered glass and screen panels, allowing you to switch between ventilation and insulation. A storm door offers more protection and versatility but generally costs more than a basic screen door.

Storm doors aren’t necessarily outdated. In fact, there are many benefits to installing a storm door, including improving your home’s energy efficiency, keeping pests out of your house, and protecting your home against the elements. However, storm doors aren’t great if you live in an area with high humidity because the door can trap heat and potentially damage your front door.

The benefits of a storm door include providing extra protection against severe weather, improving your home's insulation, and helping to keep pests out. They also add an extra layer of security to your entry door and can enhance your home's curb appeal.

Yes, modular homes are typically safe for areas prone to hurricanes. In regions at risk of severe storms, local zoning guidelines often require that these dwellings be built using materials designed to endure strong winds and heavy rainfall, ensuring they meet the safety standards for such conditions.
