"I had to have an insurance inspection and the electrical part failed on this 1955 house. Joel from Court Electrical did an amazing job. The had to redo both electrical panels, running wire through the ceiling with minimal impact/cutting. Had to do 4 wire runs for the range and dryer also. Also independently identified code violations outside to the air handler and exterior outlets. It was a big job and he was very knowledgeable, skillful and communicated well, explaining everything. For the size of the job the cost was very reasonable."

"After checking the thermostat, air handler, and the compressor it was determined that the system had 'blown out' the refrigerant. Not to worry, he located where the leak was - it was at the very bottom of the compressor unit surrounded by the coils. He cut power, removed the fan motor, and all but crawled-in to clean and repair the hole found in the copper line; he evacuated the system after a thorough purge and refilled the refrigerant when done. AMAZING! Efficient. Professionally prepared to complete the job. Pleased? YOU BET! Cornerstone has the CREAM OF THE CROP of professional, knowledgeable and courteous service technicians!"

"We went with Total Home Roofing after receiving multiple quotes and sales pitches from various companies and we are so glad that we did. Jason Hurtarte was our sales guy & he's who really sold us. We spoke with no less than 5 other companies and Jason was straight forward, knowledgeable, and NOT PUSHY. Fast forward months later- our roof is beautiful, the crew cleaned up well, and we are looking forward to having a solid roof with this hurricane season coming."

"

The light switch on my fan stopped working on Sunday. This is the major source of light in my family room, so I was anxious to get it repaired ASAP.

I didn't feel it was right to bother Mel's Electrical on Sunday, so I sent an e-mail. At the end of the day Mel e-mailed me back that he could fix my problem and gave me his estimate. He said he was available the next day (Monday) and he arrived early and fixed my switch. It is such a relief to have the light fixed so fast and without any problems.
I have used Mel's Electrical before and he has never disappointed me."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

For a 12x12 room, a fan between 36" and 50" will work, as it falls in the range for spaces up to 144 square feet. These size fans provide adequate air circulation and ensure a comfortable environment without being overpowering. Even better, they come in a broad range of styles, offering aesthetics and functionality, making them suitable choices for maintaining an ideal room temperature and enhancing overall comfort.

The more surface area that a ceiling fan blade has, the more effective it will be at producing airflow. Therefore, a longer ceiling fan blade is the better option if you’re looking for more wind. However, a longer blade will consume more energy than a shorter blade.

There’s no reason why you can’t install a ceiling fan anywhere in your home, such as in living rooms, offices, bedrooms, and dining areas. Most bathrooms already have ventilation and don’t need a ceiling fan. For safety purposes, avoid installing a ceiling fan where the blades will be less than eight feet from the floor, near bunk beds, or anywhere else they may hit nearby objects.

If your home already has wires for a ceiling fan (and optional light kit), then it’s quite safe to wire and install it yourself. Always be very careful to shut off the power before you begin, and confirm that the power is safely off with a non-contact voltage tester before touching anything. It’s also highly recommended to use eye protection, rubberized gloves, and tools with rubber handles to keep yourself safe from electric shock.

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.
