"I have been looking for a TRUSTWORTHY electrical company. You know, the one you can give the key to your residence - having never met each other - and be assured the work is being done correctly and nothing will be missing. This company is it!! Never met them and gave them the key to my residence and they not only did the work BEAUTIFULLY but they cleaned up EVERYTHING. I wouldn't have even known they were there if it weren't for the fact that I hired them. We are doing more projects in the upcoming near future and I have no need to find another company. Electrical companies are HARD to come by and even harder to trust. Remember, it costs more to get a TRUSTED and LICENSED person who guarantees their work than it costs your buddy to do it. But I want to keep the value of my condo in peak order and I want all work done by licensed people who guarantee their work. My ceiling fans have been in now for a week or so and I have ZERO issues. They are now my go to electrical people. Finally found one! Our projects are just beginning!!"

"The fellow who came that day determined what we had was 1) not up to code and would take a lot of work to fix (we could not afford it at the time), 2) we did not have a new range hood available to replace the broken one, and 3) could not fix the ceiling fan as we did not have the part. He only charged a small service fee for the visit."

"Excellent first contact with the company when they called me. Got scheduled for a quote visit quickly. Electrician was friendly and competent. After a quick discussion upon his arrival, I opted to just have the ceiling fans installed. No outlet or light switch work was performed. The price was higher than some of the other companies for the same work, but it was still within the range of what others in the area have paid."

"I had to have an insurance inspection and the electrical part failed on this 1955 house. Joel from Court Electrical did an amazing job. The had to redo both electrical panels, running wire through the ceiling with minimal impact/cutting. Had to do 4 wire runs for the range and dryer also. Also independently identified code violations outside to the air handler and exterior outlets. It was a big job and he was very knowledgeable, skillful and communicated well, explaining everything. For the size of the job the cost was very reasonable."

"I had 4 ceiling fans replaced and I was a bit surprised by the price (it was more than I wanted to pay) but the old fans needed to be replaced asap. Overall, I'm happy with the job and the electrician was on time, friendly, and had to job done and cleaned up in a few hours."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Ceiling fans are very often worth the investment because they improve comfort in your living space and help reduce utility bills. In the late spring and early fall—and even in the summer in some areas—homeowners with ceiling fans can often get away with open windows and fans, which can cut down on cooling bills and also reduce wear and tear on the HVAC system. Over time, ceiling fans can pay for themselves by saving you money on electric bills and air conditioner repair and maintenance.

If you’re replacing an old fixture with a ceiling fan, you usually won’t need a permit, but if your electrician runs new wiring for the fixture, you likely will need a permit. Building permits are necessary in most municipalities if you’re making changes to your electrical system, so even if you have partial wiring run to the area and need new wiring installed for added functionality, you’ll probably need a permit. Your electrician should be able to let you know if you need one, and they’ll typically file the paperwork for you.

If your home already has wires for a ceiling fan (and optional light kit), then it’s quite safe to wire and install it yourself. Always be very careful to shut off the power before you begin, and confirm that the power is safely off with a non-contact voltage tester before touching anything. It’s also highly recommended to use eye protection, rubberized gloves, and tools with rubber handles to keep yourself safe from electric shock.

Ceiling fans offer multiple benefits for your home. They improve air circulation to prevent stagnant environments and provide cost-effective temperature control, which can reduce reliance on your HVAC system and help lower utility bills. In addition to their functional advantages, ceiling fans can also enhance a room's aesthetic appeal with features like built-in lighting and modern styling.

Yes, ceiling fans come with a few other features that help with function, style, and convenience. Multi-speed fans can give you specialized control over the airflow. Consider getting one with an integrated light to save ceiling space. Some ceiling fans come with a remote control that enables you to change direction without climbing a ladder. Of course, you can also consider installing a wall switch to enjoy that convenience.
