"02/15/18 William and his painting partner Assir are both very professional. I had my house painted a Tri color. The base, TiberGold, accent wall in front and the garage door, Rust, and the eves and trim around the windows, White. It looks great. He pressured my house and offered to pressure wash my 800 square foot deck all for the same price. Great job for a Great price. 04/01/2019 2nd time using them in a year. Painted the out side of our house in Oak Hill Estates on the east side of Lake Worth and just last week painted the inside of our condo in Lucerne Lakes. Very professional, clean and on time."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Two coats of stain are ideal for the best protection and aesthetic appeal. However, if your decking is made of particularly dense hardwood, you may only need one coat. If you want an intense color, two coats are ideal.

It’s best to use an exterior latex acrylic paint to promote maximum adhesion to composite decking. This flexible paint type can better cope with the natural expansion and contraction that can occur with composite deck boards. Oil-based paints won’t adhere as effectively and are more likely to crack and peel as the boards flex. Testing whether your chosen paint will stick on an inconspicuous section or a spare board is a good idea.

Deciding whether to stain or paint a pool deck depends on your budget, desired look, and the deck's material. Both options can work. Paint offers a wider variety of color options, provides excellent water resistance, and can last longer. However, it requires a primer and can eventually fade or peel. Stain is often cheaper, easier to apply, and penetrates the wood for a more natural look and longer-lasting finish. It also has great water resistance. The downsides are fewer color options and the need for a sealant. The choice can also depend on the deck material; for example, staining may be a better option for concrete as it bonds well and lasts longer than paint.

No, you don't need to stain Ipe decking, although you can if you want to change the color. You will, however, need to apply a UV coating if you don't want the natural color to fade. Speak to a deck staining specialist near you to discuss the best options if you want to stain your decking. And remember that you’ll need to seal your Ipe wood deck annually to protect it from scratches and Mother Nature.

Yes, pressure-treated wood can occasionally turn green due to certain preservatives, such as copper-based chemicals, used during the treatment process. These chemicals react with the wood, creating a greenish tint. The good news? It's temporary, and the color will fade over time. Staining or painting can also help hide any unwanted hues.
