From the initial consultation to the final touches, their team demonstrated exceptional professionalism, skill, and attention to detail. The consultation process was seamless, with the project manager offering valuable insights and recommendations that truly enhanced the final look of my home. The painters were punctual, courteous, and incredibly meticulous. They took great care to protect my furniture and flooring, ensuring everything was left spotless at the end of each day. The quality of the paint job itself is outstanding. The colors are vibrant and consistent, and the finish is flawless. The exterior of my house looks fresh and inviting, and the interior rooms have been transformed into beautiful, welcoming spaces. What impressed me most was their commitment to customer satisfaction. "02/15/18 William and his painting partner Assir are both very professional. I had my house painted a Tri color. The base, TiberGold, accent wall in front and the garage door, Rust, and the eves and trim around the windows, White. It looks great. He pressured my house and offered to pressure wash my 800 square foot deck all for the same price. Great job for a Great price. 04/01/2019 2nd time using them in a year. Painted the out side of our house in Oak Hill Estates on the east side of Lake Worth and just last week painted the inside of our condo in Lucerne Lakes. Very professional, clean and on time."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Stain is meant to be absorbed by the porous wood, allowing some of the natural grain to show through. With that in mind, you don’t want to add more stain than the wood can absorb, as you risk covering up its natural markings. Generally, two coats is the maximum you should do, although very dense hardwoods may only be able to take a single coat.

Applying a sealer or topcoat after staining wood is highly recommended, though not always strictly required. A sealer protects the wood from moisture, UV rays, and weather-related issues, which is especially important for outdoor surfaces like decks and fences. It also enhances the stain's durability, prevents fading over time, and gives the wood a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. For some indoor applications, a sealer may not be necessary, depending on the type of stain used and the level of protection needed. It's always best to check the stain manufacturer's recommendations and consider the wood's intended use and exposure when deciding whether to apply a sealer.

Generally, these steps are included in exterior house painting:

  • Prepping and protecting the areas not being painted

  • Scraping away loose paint

  • Cleaning off dirt, grease, and debris

  • Caulking gaps and openings

  • Priming with a quality paint primer

  • Painting the prepared areas, including trim and accents with chosen paint finish

  • Adding a second coat

  • Cleaning up the site and disposing of tape, plastic, and drop cloths

For homes in areas with extreme weather, high heat, or intense sun exposure, high-quality acrylic paint is the best option. Acrylic paint is durable, resistant to both heat and cold, and provides a protective barrier with excellent UV resistance. For best results, look for acrylics that contain natural earth pigments, which are better suited for resisting sun damage. While oil-based paint is also durable, it can be prone to fading in high heat and can become too viscous to apply easily in cold temperatures. Additionally, choosing a neutral or light color like gray, beige, or white can help, as these colors absorb less heat than darker shades.

Routine cleaning, sealing/staining, and inspection prolong deck life and appearance.
