We are a small construction and remodeling business. We can do just about anything but specialize in interior remodels, painting, trim and crown molding, wood floors, laminate floors, tile, sheds, privacy fence, lights and ceiling fans, doors, windows, drywall, texture, small concrete jobs, framing, carpentry, siding, soffits, fascia, roof repair, skylights, demolition. We are still a small company so we can offer very competitive prices but we have the experience and skills of a much larger and more expensive company. We can also assist in helping to plan the work you need done.

"The pressure washing is fine. The problem is that he hasn't done anything from the rest of the projects that I was asking for as he said he is waiting for the price on how much it will gonna cost him to fix the wall on the pool equipment. Instead of doing the rest of the work first, he keeps on rescheduling his appointment, doesn't show up and keeps on saying he's waiting for the price. He has the rest of my $1,400 for the other services and he doesn't plan to give it back."

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

When deciding whether to use nails or screws for framing, the specific needs of the project must be taken into account. Nails have long been the go-to option for framing due to their affordability, ease of installation, and ability to withstand shear forces. They are perfect for structural framing projects where fast assembly is essential. In contrast, screws offer exceptional holding power and are particularly useful in situations requiring increased strength and resistance to pull-out forces. For projects that prioritize accuracy and long-lasting quality, screws may be the preferred option, though nails remain a dependable and efficient choice.

There are a few options if you miss a stud. You can simply patch the hole with spackle, sand it down, repaint it, and then find the stud—essentially starting over. If you don’t want to do that, you can insert one of the more robust drywall anchor options and hang your item on that, but that will only work if the drywall is in excellent condition and the anchor is rated for the weight of the item you’re hanging on it. You may be able to cover the hole with the object itself once it’s mounted, but it’s still recommended to at least fill the hole to protect insulation and prevent vermin from entering.

Yes, unresolved damage can decrease property integrity and market value.

Framing is the shell of the house. It includes several steps, including studs, plumbing, and electricity. A professional will ensure the wall frame is secured for the house’s structural integrity.

Framing prices change depending on the material and whether the wall is load-bearing. Most contractors use wood to frame a home, but metal is another popular choice.

If the bowing basement wall is less than 2 inches, steel or carbon fiber straps are the best solution. For bowing that is more than 2 inches, wall anchors are the most effective. A contractor can help you decide the best method of repair for your home's foundation and also address the root cause of the trouble.
