Well, i was referred by a neighbor who had used Custom Carpentry last winter and told me how fantastic his prices were on the remodeling of their kitchen. I had seen work and was amazed myself. I called Kenny Butler, president of Custom Carpentry to discuss some minor remodeling needed and he met me in my home the next day. While in my kitchen he noticed how hot it was with the sun BLARING in and asked me about my electric bill costs. After telling him how much i pay for A/C each month, he mentioned his 3M Window film and how it really helps. He was right! After they installed the film, i couldn't BELIEVE the difference it made in the rooms! They were much cooler and the lighting was so nice with the sun coming in, we could actually enjoy it. I would highly recommend them for both services any time. Keep up the great work guys and thanks for your help!!

We solicited multiple quotes for this big project, and Custom Carpentry Plus had the best ideas and flexibility. We had a general idea of what we wanted (built in book shelves on a long wall in our living room), but we had trouble imaging some of the unique features (such as how to incorporate our fireplace and windows). They came up with a competitively priced quote, with "big" ideas. They went all out, building a unit that far exceeded our expectations. We hoped for something really impressive and stunning and we certainly got it. What was previously a bland taupe wall is now gorgeous floor to ceiling oak stained cabinets with tons of detail. They matched our personal style and the style our home. They did all the work on site in a week and a half, and were able to schedule the project very quickly after we settled on a price and scope of the project. We are ecstatic about our new custom cabinets and are now wondering where else we can add built ins to our house!

It took about three days to complete and paint the area.  The lighting is beautiful and the front storm door works like a charm.  I was given a demo on how to operate the door.  They were prompt and started work soon after the estimate was given, covered the area of the kitchen for painting and patch work.  I needed extra work that was not discussed because of the defective dimmer switches.  I was impressed with their strict adherence to code and the care taken to fit the storm door.

They were excellent. They worked with us on the specific application we wanted on the front of the house, which was a little out of the norm. They were able to deal with that nicely. We had an issue with the new pieces not matching up with the original siding, which they were also able to deal with. I thought they were great.

The job went smoothly. Ken Butler, owner, was easy to reach and discuss any changes or additions with. The crew works extremely well together, courteous, and go an extra mile to make me happy. Trash was hauled away and all cleaned up when they left. I have no complaints. The electrician did one extra job for me and replaced two defective recessed light cans in my kitchen. The framing of the door looks excellent and the recommended heat source works very efficiently. They go out of their way to work within your budget research suppliers for best prices. I plan to use Custom Carpentry again for some exterior painting in the spring and to do some more minor work in my home.

The estimate was presented quickly and was reasonable. The owner/manager discussed the job with his carpenters to find the best solution to a complex problem, cost vs difficulty. The workmen were all courteous and helpful. They rescheduled my work to earlier to accommodate me and were very flexible. I needed the door handle replaced later because the original was defective. No extra charge. They painted the door a color of my choice and it looks fabulous. The only hold up was with suppliers and to be expected and the job was completed well. I was extremely pleased with their work.

This project exceeded my expectations on every front. The contractor himself paid us three visits for discussions of what we wanted and how we envisioned the end product. We had definite ideas and he had some excellent suggestions which improved the overall design. After all these discussions, we were given the oppoortunity to review and revise the contract document to reflect our understandings of his proposal. He was very willing to go through the contract document line by line and answer all our questions to our satisfaction. He forecast a project timeline that would have us completed 30-45 days after the contract was signed, and indeed, this schedule was met. The actual on-site work began on June 24 and finished on July 21. The custom cabinetry was started on July 16, the day we signed the contract. All through the project, the contractor and his crew were communicative, respectful of our home, and a delight to work with. Each day's tasking pretty much followed the schedule discussed on a weekly basis, so we always felt we knew what was going to happen next. We were consulted each time there was a preference issue. Overall, this was an outstanding company and an outstanding contracting experience. The work was completed to our entire satisfaction and it comes with a one-year warranty on workmanship.
