"We had Hardie board and batten installed on three sides of the house, painted siding, and gutters installed. Our home is 1,300 sq ft and like I said, the work was for 3 sides only, not the front of the house. We was also told that craftsmen carpenters where doing the work. First they started to remove the trim from the front of the house. This was NOT to be touched. I wanted to keep that more rustic since it was weathered cedar. When I questioned this, we'll call him worker #1, he said only the trim, but they were going to do only the trim around the garage area which would not look uniform unless the two windows where done also. They did the two windows, but the worker told them I asked for the trim, which I did NOT! When they removed the trim from the front, they also broke a piece of the cedar siding, and didn't bother telling anyone. I discovered this when I was inspecting the work. So that needed to be replaced and luckily we had some weathered boards from pieces that we were replacing from the front ourselves. If not, there would have been one piece that stood out like a sore thumb. They were going to wrap the house and proceed with adding the siding. I asked “what about the rotten parts that need to be replaced?” Worker #1 side is was fine. It was not, you could see where the bottom of some was rotten and could literally pull it off. I called the supervisor #1 and he came out and yes, there was 2 ft sections that needed to be replaced. So when they removed the siding they broke a water pipe, flooded my bathroom and they replaced the padding under the carpet. Took two days for the area to dry out, luckily we have a large industrial fan. Again craftsmen carpenters are doing this work. When they started to install the siding, I told worker #1 that the cable guy was coming out the next day to determine what cables are needed. They just proceeded and now there is this ugly trimmed out piece for nothing on the side of the house that faces the road. Did I mention all the workers that did this job are from Brazil and I don't think communication was clear. When the sales person came out originally (Heather V), I specifically asked her about the screened in back porch and how they would proceed with that. She told us that they would just removed the frame attached to the house and be able to slide the siding underneath it. Made sense to me, they only need about 1/8 inch. The “craftsmen carpenters” ended up covering up where the frame and screen spline go about ½ inch. So if and when we need to replace the screen we have to contact them to remove and reattach the trim. When I told supervisor #2 (Will) about this, he said “the sales person doesn't know how siding is done”. Well then your salesperson should be telling the customer procedures she is not familiar with. Did I mention that these “craftsmen construction” workers caulked the bottom of one of the window screens?!?! So they take a utility knife to open it back up on one of the many return visits to “fix” what they either messed up, or didn't complete on the original visit. And to top this off, the trim is not the same size as the existing trim, which means our hurricane shutters don't fit our 10 window. FYI we live is SE Georgia. We had to take the Lexon panels and re-cut 3 sides each and drill out over 200 rivets and replace 200 rivets by hand. This took us approx 20 hrs to get this done and we had hurricane Milton coming our way. By the grace of God we had no damage. This entire job resulted in destroying my plants in the back yard either by trampling them or coating them in paint, several times having to come out and repaint, add more caulking, re-screen windows because they had paint on them, or the screening was done poorly because of the shoddy workmanship. Upon completion of the entire job, Supervisor #2 (Will) said that they would be sending us a gift card for $250, “have a nice dinner on us” he said, because of all the issues that happened on this job. This never came to us. I would NOT recommend Morgan Exterior at all."

We manufacture Advanced Energy Panels (AEPs). AEPs are a retrofit for historic windows or any window people can't afford or don’t wish to replace. AEPs are interior window insulating panels and can be installed in any building –office, home or industrial. AEPs have a higher insulation and air sealing rating and provide greater comfort than most replacement windows, yet they are a fraction of the cost. AEPs are custom made to fit over existing openings, protecting, preserving and improving your existing windows.

Family owned and operated. Additional service area - Caroline, Culpeper, Fauquier, Goochland, King George, Orange, Spotsylvania, Stafford, & Westmoreland Counties and surrounding areas.
"We asked for Bolts to be installed, he instead installed straps. (He said that's the standard, our builder recommended bolts, thus we asked for bolts to be placed on top of the wall.) We also asked for two doors in a corner, he only put in one door. (He stated it didn't make sense to have two doors, next to each other. My wife wanted two doors, enough said.) Some of the poured concrete was not mixed well, thus there's some flaws in the walls. Overall, at least they came and did the job."

Ratner Construction
Ratner Construction
We are Florida Certified General Contractors. We will subcontract Electrical, Plumbing & Mechanical work as required by State laws. All work performed base on a contract price, Residential or Commercial. Estimates are free for small projects.
"RATNER CONSTRUCTION The process started with owner of the company ,Steven Ratner, coming to give an estimate for the things we wanted done in the house. The price APPEARED fair, so we continued with the company. We needed the kitchen and 2 bathrooms worked on. The bathrooms had cave like soffit above the tubs and that was our main reason for updating. They put a huge trash bin in the middle of the driveway which made it unusable for us to park. This huge bin stayed there for most of the work. The demolition was finished and that is when everything changed. We came in after demo to see that the soffit above the tubs was still there. Ratner stated that wasn’t in the estimate and this is how the entire process of working with Ratner went . The demo took place in MAY AND THE PROJECT WAS NOT COMPLETED UNTIL OCTOBER 11! The final inspection only passed because OUR handy man was there willing to fix the things the inspector found not passable on the 3rd visit…. Ratner construction failed almost every inspection that the city Gainesville had ,sometimes 3 times. At one point the house was not worked on for weeks. It turned out that Ratner only had ONE person on his crew so when the person had a family emergency the house just sat! We were told on numerous occasions that no subcontractor would work with Steven Ratner. The person that did the tile work was a new hire for Ratner and Ratner also had him do the drywall. The tile work was beautiful, but the ceiling and walls were horrible, and we had to pay another company to come in a smooth out the ceiling and walls before a painter would touch them. If you are still reading this yes, painting was not included .What was? Nothing it seems. Our only advice is to find another contractor. Steven Ratner continually throughout the process would change the price and hand us updated price contracts! If you do use Ratner Construction video every conversation you have with him. You will need it."
