Preferred Upgrades

My project was both windows and doors. Ray and his team were great to work with and no issues during the install. His team were very neat and never left any mess at all. I was especially pleased when I received my first electric bill as with the extreme heat recently I expected, based on past experience, to have a huge increase in my bill and increase was was $25. Which mostly was due to the sprinkler system and adding water to the pool. I'm very glad with my decision to go with Preferred Upgrades.

Preferred Upgrades did a great job installing new windows throughout my condo in Riverside. They took care of making sure my permits with the city were taken care of, and my point of contact, Ray, was very helpful. He responded quickly to phone calls, texts and e-mails. He kept me informed of the process throughout. I would recommend them to my friends and family, and I would use them again for other window projects.

We had all new windows installed in our home in April, 2022. I can't say enough about the absolute wonderful job they did. Their customer service was amazing. I would highly recommend them!!

We hired Universal Window Direct because they had a great price, local company and good reviews from other customer. They were very cooperative with scheduling and coordinating our installation. Sales Manager Ray and Team lead Mike were awesome to work with. The crew worked efficient while dealing with intermittent rain just prior to a holiday break. The only issue in quality of work was not entirely Universal Windows fault. The removal of our old windows was difficult due to the thinness of the glass so several pieces of glass wound up on the ground. I felt the crew could have done a better job cleaning this up. We have animals that walk in these areas so payed close attention to ensure none of them were injured. Only mentioned it so other customers can watch for a similar issue. Very happy with the experience and we love our new windows.

Worked with Ray to tear down our old screened porch and installed a new sunroom with 7 awesome sliding house windows. Ray, Mike and their team did an excellent job and we are so happy with the final result. Now spend most of my time here. Great value for the job.

From our initial conversation with Ray Ewing through the installation, the team was professional and answered every question. The project started when expected and finished on time. We can already see the difference in appearance and room temperature. We are looking forward to seeing the changes in our electric bill.

Excellent process all the way through from ordering to install. I had a room that was very warm in the morning because of the rising sun in the AM. After installing new windows, the room is no longer warm in the AM!!!! Huge difference. Thank you Windows Direct!!!!

Felt a little over priced but still a good value.

Hard to know where to begin..service from Ray Ewing was outstanding..he was knowledgeable and very personable..my windows look like a million bucks..the one room with the largest window was the one I was hoping to benefit from having a new window installed and it did..that cold feel disappeared completely..my installer Tom and his team of installers were respectful and focused on getting the windows installed correctly and perfect the first time..the windows make my house looker newer and more updated..without a doubt I can highly and honestly recommend Universal Windows Direct and Mr. Ewing..you will definitely not be disappointed in the service and the quality of windows you will receive!

Ray was great from start to finish, he made it such a smooth and pleasurable experience. He was available for what ever questions we had and the price of what we had done was very good. We had a window replaced and a sliding glass door replaced with French doors. We could not be happier. The installation team were very professional. Ted and his team installed my window and French doors and made them look seamless, just like they had always been there. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The only problem is now I want to go back and replace the rest of my windows, when I do I will definitely use Universal Windows to do the job. My wife and I could not be happier. Thanks Ray and Ted.

Our experience with Universal Windows was phenomenal. First, start to finish it was an extremely professional and an enjoyable experience. Second, because buying a new door as well as installation is for most of us a new, daunting and expensive experience it is super important to have someone knowledgeable as well as willing to accommodate budget and wishes. For me Universal Windows Direct accomplished all of that and some. Not only was Ray Ewing and his staff willing to really listen to what we really wanted and not sell us anything we didn't want but his installers Will Hathaway and Tom Christopher even installed on the weekend to accommodate our busy schedules. How about that!!! Amazing! And the attention to detail was astounding. This experience not only helped us as homeowners to hold certain expectations for products and work done but it also means that we will be having Universal Windows Direct back again when we need new windows installed. Is my first time buying windows and I'm glad I came across Universal Windows headed by Ray Ewing in Jacksonville, Fl. It was a great experience from start to finish. The demonstration of the product was top notch. Ray is highly knowledgeable and passionate about his windows. The installation was flawless by a very experienced and polite crew. The overall customer experience has been great and detail oriented. One of the windows came with a small scratch on a pane that other companies may have dismissed, but Ray was quick in not having the scratch fixed but rather requesting for the entire insulated glass unit to be replaced. Ray was very accessible and accommodating. He even answered e-mails at 10:30 at night because I work the late shift. I will not hesitate in placing future orders.

I don't typically take the time to write reviews, but this company is awesome! We desperately needed all new windows in our house and after much research, we went with Universal Direct. From start to finish, Ray Ewing and his team were great and we are so appreciative!
