"Tal was great! He was willing to come from Orlando to Palm Bay at 8 PM for an emergency repair. We had something stuck between our sliding doors. He diagnosed the problem removed the doors removed and the obstruction and reset and balanced the doors. We could not close the doors and he fixed them fast and he was very professional. Thank you Jeff and Lori."

"These days it is very difficult to find someone you can trust to get the job done right. This is the third time we have hired John to do screen work in our pool/garage area. He is professional, on time, and offers quality pricing and service. You really cannot go wrong with Rescreen Transformations.........."

Small jobs welcome

"I had the bottom section of a DP window replaced. Jamie was punctual and polite. Took only thirty minutes from the time he arrived to complete the job. I would have given Goodrich Glass five stars except that the original plastic pieces(30 years old) in the frame were reused, instead of installing new pieces. The strips got damaged when the old glass had to be removed, and didn't look good after Jamie reused them. As a pro, ,Jamie should have known the window needed new strips as he had previously been to my house to provide an estimate. I hope the window doesn't leak water as I'm not confident it is water tight."

"My experience with Overhead Door Company was such a pleasant one. I was extremely satisfied at the professional experience with the company and how they worked with me to get this overwhelming job completed. I was extremely impressed from the start of the job how they made several contacts to make sure my concerns were handled. As the friendly technician Mac emailed my Work Order outlining the work performed, I noted in my file to always use Overhead Door Company for all my future garage fixtures and issues. Thanks to James and Mac for handling my garage problems. I will certainly recommend them and always remember this professional & satisfying experience. In situations like this, one doesn't mind paying the money for such treatment and satisfaction. Thanks Overhead Door Company!!"

"Windows were mounted in concrete block. One man crew replaced all three with double pane sliders including argon gas and low-e class. One day job for all three windows. Project went smooth, no complaints."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

In Edgewater, homeowners often select screen mesh not rated for hurricane winds or coastal corrosion, leading to premature failure. Overlooking the need for proper screen enclosure drainage or using the wrong spline size can cause screens to loosen quickly. Ignoring HOA guidelines, skipping annual inspections, or attempting repairs during peak storm season are also frequent missteps that can shorten the life of your screen repairs.

Helpful?

In Edgewater, torn mesh or damaged screen door rollers point to screen repair, while warped enclosure frames or persistent leaks near the screen suggest structural or drainage issues. If you notice mold around the screen enclosure base or doors sticking after storms, broader repairs may be needed. Assess whether the problem is limited to the screen material or involves the enclosure’s structure.

Helpful?

New homeowners in Edgewater should prioritize inspecting pool cage screens for storm damage and corrosion, as these are common in the area. Next, check all screen doors and window screens for proper fit and mesh integrity. Address any gaps in porch or lanai screens to keep out local pests. Regularly clean tracks and inspect for UV damage before the rainy season begins.

Helpful?

In Edgewater, be cautious of screen repair quotes that lack details about enclosure materials or do not specify if the screen mesh is rated for coastal conditions. If a contractor avoids discussing wind resistance, doesn’t offer a written warranty, or fails to mention proper permits, these are warning signs. Always confirm they carry insurance and have experience with screen enclosure and screen door repair in the area.

Helpful?

In Edgewater, if you see screen enclosure frames with visible rust, mesh pulling away from corners, or inconsistent screen tension, it’s likely time for a redo. Look for faded or brittle mesh, poorly aligned screen door tracks, or screens that flap in the wind. These issues often mean the prior repair didn’t use materials suited for Florida’s salt air and hurricane risks.
