Small jobs welcome

"Leo did a fantastic job at our house. We requested that he add some wall moldings to the living room and bedroom to give our home a more modern look and the result was amazing."

"I hired Chris for two separate jobs. The first was replacing closet sliding glass doors with bifold ones as well as expanding the door way. The job looks so good I hired them to remodel my bathroom. I have mobility issues and trusted his judgment on the new tile as I was only able to see it on a phone screen and it looks great. He did a couple of other projects at the same time and the remodel not only looks great, the new grab bars make it much safer. I highly recommend, but remember that any demo/build job is prone to problems popping up. Patience and flexibility help the process and Chris remained calm the entire time. . I canâ  t wait for my visitors to see the final product!"

Closets questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on material type, size, and additional features like lighting or sliding doors.

On average, building a custom or built-in closet costs around $2,100. However, the total price can range from as little as $500 for a simple DIY project to $6,000 or more for a large, high-end custom closet. Most projects typically fall between $1,500 and $5,000.

The final cost depends on several factors, including the closet's size, type, materials, and features. Here is a general cost breakdown by closet type:

  • Reach-in closet: $500 to $1,500

  • Walk-in closet: $750 to $5,000

  • Wardrobe: $2,000 to $6,000 or more

Choosing a prefabricated closet system is generally less expensive than a fully custom build. The scope of design and construction services will also significantly impact the price.

A foyer or entryway is typically a formal landing area for guests, located at the primary entrance of a home. It is often more formally decorated and connects directly to the main living space. In contrast, a mudroom is a more casual, utilitarian room, usually leading in from a secondary entrance like a garage or the side or rear of the house. It serves as a space for residents to remove shoes and outerwear to keep mud, dirt, and water out of the main home.

Yes, many providers offer design consultations to help optimize and maximize space, functionality, and usage. It is recommended to confirm the availability of this service with your specific installer or contractor.

If you’re on a tight budget, the least expensive material you can buy for DIY closet shelves is chipboard, a.k.a. particle board. This inexpensive material is made from a pulp of sawdust, resin, and glue that’s pressed together under high temperature and pressure. As you can imagine, it’s not very sturdy and might buckle under your blue jean collection, so you should only use it if you’re storing very light items.
