"We had extensive subsidence on our driveway and several slabs had cracks. The estimator came on time, was professional, described the process, made appropriate measurements, took photos and promised an estimate by email. The estimate arrived 48 hours later and was right in line with others we received but much less than re-pouring the driveway. We approved the job and set a date for it's initiation in about one weeks time. They showed up right on time and commenced work. What was thought to be a 3-4 hour job eventually took 8 hours. No complaints from the contractor. The driveway was level, not perfect, but better than I had hoped for. I ground the uneven cracks myself and filled them with fast-set concrete. The driveway looks almost like new. We're happy so far. Time will tell how permanent the fix is."

"All of these highly positive reviews on Angie’s List about JZ Star Flooring are true! The owner, Jaime, and his team of installers, just completed retiling my two bathrooms and main house floor. They were prompt, professional, did high quality, detailed work, and were reasonably priced. Jaime was patient and communicative, and accurately estimated the project timeframe. I joked with my friends that he's the “un-contractor” – i.e. he lacks all the bad qualities that most contractors have a reputation for. We encountered a few issues in the course of my projects, and Jaime helped me work through them. For example, I wanted to install 30”x30” rectified porcelain tile on an extremely uneven floor that abutted several carpeted rooms. Jaime’s lead installer, Noel, did a fantastic job of leveling the floor with mortar (over 70 bags!), while ensuring that it flowed seamlessly up to the carpeted areas. While completing my main house floor, some mortar got on my brick patio in my backyard. Jaime sent his crew to clean it up immediately and now it looks cleaner than it did before the tile job. Part of my project also involved plumbing, including converting one single sink to two sinks in the master bathroom and rebuilding the shower. Jaime has several excellent plumbers on his team, so when one of them had a small car accident and became unavailable, he sent the other one over to complete the work, ensuring no delays. I’ve learned thorough this experience that renovating a house can be stressful. Having someone like Jaime and JZ Star Flooring on my team made the process so much easier. I highly, highly recommend them!"

"We had a patio that was enclosed before the house. The steel post that was the original outdoor patios was used in the enclosure they rusted and the windows and door started leaking very bad. Kris came out and gave us some ideas for rebuild and we went with it, we have a much betted enclosure and are very happy. We had a lot of companies give us estimates but Kris was vey knowledgeable in this type of construction and the permit process ect. no regrets"

"He put in a two by four down the middle as a support for the whole floor structure. Before, the particle board floor was one unsupported span of the whole cabinet.  The floor is now in two pieces of heavy plywood, a modular design that will limit damage if something goes wrong (which I do not expect).  He also suggested that the floor boards not be fastened down. so that they can be pulled out to clean the floor beneath or perhaps to set a mousetrap.  We took his advice, which we thought was very good thinking.  And the price was very reasonable.

"We feel like we won the lottery finding general contractor Billy Shapiro of SBS of South Florida to handle our shower remodel. We knew there was a leak, but didn't know where or how serious. Billy came out right away to evaluate the situation and come up with an initial plan at a fair estimate to repair the problem, knowing it could be more extensive. He was right. When his team began removing tile they discovered the leak had caused major damage and ended up demoing, rebuilding and retiling the shower. Billy's team is second to none -- they are skilled craftsman who do top quality exceptional work, pay meticulous attention to detail, are prompt and reliable, and leave the job site organized and clean at the end of each day. (How often do you find that level of professionalism any more in South Florida?) Billy is in regular communication with the customer, clearly explaining next steps throughout the entire project. The quote for the extra remodeling work was fair, reasonable, honest and well worth it considering the quality of work we received in return. Before this project was complete, we already began talking to Billy about having his team back for more projects.
