After meeting with about 4 different closet company i decided to go with Everyday Closets, Mike was able to design a space that was easy to use and functional and the quality of his work was amazing as well. "This was an amazing experience. Javier is very knowledgeable and did a great job with what me and my husband wanted. He was able to make a closet that is functional as an office space as well, he’s very professional and leaves the area very clean afterwards. Will book again for another project. -Christal"

"Outstanding!! These guy's are professional, hardworking, affordable, on time, versatile, qualified, humble!! Responsive, responsible, etc, etc etc etc etc!!!! I recommend them! These are my go to guys now. They did a house flip for me and they did amazing. They went above and beyond what I asked for. They worked very hard to earn future business, and they fixed everything I asked for and more. They are well connected, so they were constantly able to get resources quickly and deliver. They signed a contract and delivered on time. I mean I could go on!. I'm very happy"

Customers say: Quality work

"Frank did an EXCELLENT job with my project. I needed a built in entertainment center that holds alot of DVD's and he provided a quote and hand drawing of his ideas the next day. The price was very reasonable and he advised of the project start date as well as the completion date. Frank was on time every day and was very specific about how it looked as he installed it. I was so happy with his work I ended up hiring him for a built in entertainment center for upstairs. Please contact him and he can show you the pictures I took before, during, and after the installation process."

Closets questions, answered by experts

You can modernize an old-looking closet by just painting it, but beyond that, consider electric elements like recessed or accent lighting. If this is a large and deep closet, you can consider adding an island to the middle or a nice ottoman on a rug. Luxury closets will have even more items, like felt-lined drawers for watches and jewelry, in-wall safes, electronic shoe storage, or a tablet catalog of their items.

You can turn an adjacent room into a walking closet by just rearranging the room. This means removing the furniture and adding racks and an island in the center if you have that in your budget. Houses with two bedrooms connected to each other are great options for large walk-in closets that don't require any structural changes or much building whatsoever.

The time it takes to build a closet varies widely depending on the project's size, complexity, and level of customization. On average, construction can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks.

A simple reach-in closet might be completed in less than a day, while a more complex walk-in closet could take one to two days or more. A typical project often falls in the 2-to-5-day range. However, a large, highly customized walk-in closet that requires structural changes, like moving a load-bearing wall, will take significantly longer.

A professional contractor can provide the most accurate time estimate for your specific project. If you are planning a DIY build, it is best to budget additional time.

If you’re on a tight budget, the least expensive material you can buy for DIY closet shelves is chipboard, a.k.a. particle board. This inexpensive material is made from a pulp of sawdust, resin, and glue that’s pressed together under high temperature and pressure. As you can imagine, it’s not very sturdy and might buckle under your blue jean collection, so you should only use it if you’re storing very light items.

Whether it’s less expensive to build or buy a closet depends on both the type of closet and whether or not you’d be constructing it yourself. The cost of custom closets built by a pro ranges from $1,300 to $3,800, but you may be able to DIY it for as little as $400. By contrast, prefabricated options go as low as $200 and up to $3,000, so it’s almost always less expensive to go this route.
