"He was in contacting with me by text letting me know he will be arriving at my home. He was on time and no waiting to show up. He asked for the garage door to be open and up dated what the issue was. Missing insulation over master bedroom he went directly to the attic and I followed him. He was very professional in letting know that there was more than that area that needs insulation."

"In these days of begging for someone to give you quotes (I called one company-recommended by a friend- 3 times in two weeks, talked to a receptionist each time, and they never called to set up a time to quote the job), Precision Fiberglass Insulation is the exception, and they are exceptional. Ethan was outstanding; very knowledgeable, prompt, professional, thorough, courteous, honest...Price was reasonable and project was completed in a timely manner. Highly recommend!!!"

"Great, really good job.David Hughes of Total Home Roofing arrived very promptly and explained his company services. I really did not know about peel seal as this was my first experience of handling this myself. He made me feel comfortable and explained everything . The workmen arrived prior to 7am on the first day. Could not believe it but they worked till after 6:30pm on first day. Next day inspection. 3rd day here they came at 6:45am and finished at Noon. Amazing. Quality workmanship. I will highly recommend David and his Company "Total Home Roofing". Oh the price was very competitive with everyone else I had bids by. Thank you David."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Reduces energy costs, improves comfort, and prevents ice dams in winter.

Insulating your ducts offers several benefits, including:

  • Improved energy efficiency: Duct insulation prevents energy losses, reducing heating and cooling costs.

  • Cost savings: Lower energy bills make insulation a cost-effective investment.

  • Environmental benefits: Enhanced efficiency reduces your carbon footprint.

  • Consistent comfort: Insulated ducts help maintain a stable indoor temperature.

  • Better indoor air quality: Reduced allergens and pollutants improve air quality.

EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System) siding can last from 20 to 60 years, with some properly maintained systems lasting even longer. The exact lifespan depends heavily on several factors, most notably the quality of the initial installation and the consistency of maintenance.

Factors that can shorten the life of EIFS include:

  • Improper or poor-quality installation

  • Moisture intrusion

  • Damage from high winds, storms, or hail

  • Damaged flashing and sealant

  • Lack of regular maintenance and unfixed damage

To maximize the lifespan of your EIFS, it is crucial to hire an experienced and qualified professional for the installation. Additionally, regular maintenance—such as cleaning, repairing small cracks or blisters, and having the system professionally inspected—will help identify and resolve issues quickly, preventing long-term damage.

The best type of attic insulation depends on where you live, your budget, and what stage of construction the attic is in. For example, if you're building a house, then structural insulated panels are a worthy investment since they're easy to install during construction and they're the most energy-efficient type of insulation.

Additionally, if you live in a very warm climate, then you can potentially save quite a bit of money by opting for reflective insulation, which is more affordable than comprehensive insulation but doesn't work well for cool climates. Blown-in, loose-fill, and spray foam insulation are all great options for attics in moderate climates.

The level of insulation is determined by both the material and the thickness of the door. Some garage door materials (such as wood) have natural insulating capabilities, while other materials (such as metal) do not. No matter the material, two-layer and three-layer garage doors have a higher R-value than single-layer garage doors, as insulation is fitted between the panels.
