My name is Charlie Lopez. I am 39 years old and a Panama City native. I have worked with several contractors doing anything from pressure washing to tearing off and installing roofs. I am a fixer of things and problem solver by nature. My wife calls me the "safety inspector". lol. I enjoy being of service and I take pride in my work. And most importantly, I show up!
"Went very well. Door rollers were rusted badly. Nick was able to replace them easily. Doors slide like a dream now. One I hadn't used in years. Now I have easy access to my patio. Nick was quick, but through. Everything was completed in about 2 hours. I would highly recommend Nick's for this service. "
"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."
"The windows and doors are wonderful. However the project took longer than promised. I will say, the company does beautiful work with regard to installation and sealing of windows, doors and overall craftsmanship.. I've seen what other companies have done to neighbors houses and the work was sloppy and they actually damaged the house. That wasn't the case here!
I did have a few problems with our sales person Cary. I then I started dealing with Monica, the Operations Director, who got things done right and in a timely fashion..
Actually Cary, the windows which had to be changed at your cost of 1200 were windows that you ordered incorrectly and and were not the windows ordered according to the contract, so yes, I required the correct windows be installed."
"They are the best house cleaners I have ever used and I plan to continue doing business with them. Worry free hassle free and my house has never looked and felt better!"
"Coastal Millworks does exceptional work. The professionalism and quality are unmatched. I gave the master carpenter a picture from Pinterest and he was able to create a custom built in desk with bookcases that looked magazine worthy!
So pleased with the work and will definitely be using this company again!!!"
Instead of a bifold door, you might look into installing French doors, pocket doors, or sliding doors. Each has its own pros and cons. French doors offer the dual-door advantages that bifold doors do, and pocket doors are excellent space savers—though you’ll need to create a wall cavity to have them installed.
The difference between a mortise latch and a tubular latch is how they're mounted. A mortise latch has a single integrated lock body. One long rectangular space is cut into the door to contain it. A single keyhole is used to unlock both the dead bolt and latch from the outside. A tubular latch is a standard setup with a dead bolt separate from the regular spring bolt latch.
The best material for a patio door depends on several factors, including your budget, local climate, and priorities like style, security, and maintenance. Wood offers a classic, high-end look but requires regular upkeep. Vinyl is a popular choice as it's affordable, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance, making it a durable option for active households. Fiberglass is another durable material that stands up well to heavy use. For superior security, steel is a low-maintenance option, though with fewer design choices. Finally, lightweight aluminum makes doors easy to open and close, which is ideal for homes with children. The right choice balances durability, aesthetics, ease of use, and the amount of maintenance you're willing to perform.
You have several options when choosing the best lumber for your door jamb. Pine is the most common material due to its resistance to swelling. Fir is strong and durable. You could also go with birch or alder. Any wood with a tight grain will work for this project.
Steel doors have a few primary disadvantages. They’re hard to customize since they can’t be cut to fit an opening; they’re cumbersome and thus difficult to install on your own; and they don’t have the same aesthetic appeal as wood doors. Finally, while they’re highly durable and secure, they are susceptible to dents, scratches, and rusting.
