"Within 30 minutes of submitting my info on Home Advisor, I had 3 tree service companies respond, and all 3 came out to give quotes within a day. We chose Southern Tree Service LLC because they offered the most for the most reasonable price. Project included 5 100-foot pine trees and one oak. This tree service is amazing, professional and they had all the tools to do the job with ease. A bucket truck was used for 5 of the trees which were extremely tall and very close to a shed. They tied off branches and lowered them and never touched the shed. The last tree needed a climber because the bucket truck couldn't reach it. It was amazing to watch these guys. Chain saws were well maintained and cut through the trees like butter. They had large trailers for debris and a great Kubota loader to move debris. At the end of the day, a "rake brigade" (about 5 guys with rakes) moved through the area and cleaned everything up. 2 of my neighbors also hired these guys to do some work for them while they were there. The stump grinder guy was a sub-contractor who followed up the next day. We added several stumps to the original 2 that we had contracted and the price was super reasonable. Great guys with excellent tools for large jobs, professional, polite, licensed and insured. I would recommend this company to anyone and we plan to use them in the future for more tree removal."

It didn’t matter to me how long it takes but they don’t mess around and are very professional and careful working around houses and buildings. "They came out promptly to give me an estimate. Actually, they were very communicative about the time they would arrive. He came out on a Sunday and gave us a decent price. Not the best price but we hired them because they seemed responsive and we needed it done. We were told they would come that week - on a Thursday. That was a major factor in us choosing them especially since we had cheaper estimates. They didn't come. I called them for two weeks and left messages and they didn't answer me. I started looking into other tree trimmers thinking that they weren't coming. They finally called and said they would be there the next day so I ceased those efforts. They didn't show up again. Their worker hurt himself. I had to call them to learn this. I was not given the courtesy of a call. At this point it was about 3 weeks since the estimate. They arrived the day after that. Then 4 days after the work was completed they found my number and called twice in the day to ask for payment. I returned their call to let Kim know that it was mailed to them. I expressed how incredibly rude they were about not calling me when I needed answers but they started harassing me for payment immediately. If I was ever sure of the day that they were coming I would have handed their workers a check. I appreciate that their service is busy - but letting people know where they stand is important. I found better estimates from other companies. The premium price that they charge does not include good customer service."

"I could not say enough great things about Mitchell and Whistle Punk Worx tree service! they came out and trimmed all of our trees in preparation for the upcoming hurricane & storm season, and their work was absolutely outstanding. From start to finish, the crew was professional, efficient, and CLEARLY EXPERIEENCED. What impressed me was how hard they worked - their equipment and chainsaws ran nonstop the entire day, and they never slowed down. It was clear they were dedicated to getting the job done right and safely. Mitchell did a thorough job trimming and shaping the trees, leaving everything looking clean, neat, and much safer for the season. The clean up afterword's looked as if it had was hollowed ground which made a huge difference.
