"I hired Rick and his crew to remodel a bathroom, reconfigure a closet to accommodate a one- piece washer and dryer combination to replace an old combination unit and sheetrock holes from vents from an HVAC system that had been updated to mini splits. As you can imagine, when opening up walls in an older building, there were issues. I was always kept abreast of those issues, informed of what COULD be done and given their suggestions of how to rectify the problem so I could make informed decisions. I was kept in constant contact in person or by phone or text. I was really surprised and pleased at how clean they left the job inside and out. The end result is beyond my expectations. I will definitly call them for my next project. I love the fact that I now have laundry facilities at home and much needed storage in a small bathroom."

"Jeff was very patient, responsive and thorough while working on this project.  What should have been a quick and simple sink and faucet replacement turned into a project requiring multiple days to complete due to defects and poor quality in the faucet kit I had purchased to be installed.  Jeff came out on two extra visits to fix a leak which had developed because of the cheap faucet kit.  Jeff was able to modify what had been included with the kit to make it a leak-free plumbing system.  I was very happy with Jeff's commitment to make sure the job was done correctly and to full satisfaction.  It has been several months now and I still have no leaks and am very happy with the new sink and faucet.  Based on this experience, I have several more projects I plan to hire Jeff for.

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.

The most efficient ceiling fan height is 8 to 9 feet from the floor to the fan blades. For ceilings higher than 9 feet, a downrod can be used to lower the fan to the optimal height. This positioning ensures adequate air circulation and maximizes the cooling effect. Remember, fans should be installed at least 7 feet above the floor for safety.

As a general rule of thumb, clean your fans whenever you tidy up the home. Fans benefit greatly from a light weekly cleaning and a deep cleaning at the start of each season. If it’s been a while since you touched up the fans with oscillating blades, start with the deep cleaning before moving on to the lighter touch-ups. If you’re unsure when to clean fans and other parts of the home, learn how often you should clean your home.

If you think your fan needs to be oiled, the first thing that you have to do is cut the power to the fan. The best and safest way to do this is by flipping the circuit breaker that leads to that room.  Depending on the model of your fan, you may need to remove a cover. Look for a hole labeled oil. If there isn't one, check the manual or look for schematics online. Once located, use the recommended lubricant or spray.

Yes, dust and pollen on a fan can trigger allergy attacks in many people. Additionally, fan blades can hold onto potentially dangerous bacteria particles before they die out. That’s why it’s important to keep all of the fans in your home clean and dust-free, which will help avoid any sickness or allergy flare-ups.
