He was knowledgeable, professional, punctual (came early, which is rare), and his expertise was obvious. My only (mild) dissatisfaction was that he charged a few dollars extra than market value for the ceiling box part he provided after he explained that the ones I had were not going to work. I understand that this is common as he is providing the part on the spot. I would hire him without any hesitation for future jobs.

Here is an advice for anyone looking for help installing a ceiling fan. It's a heavy item and could be huge safety hazard if not done properly and with the right parts. Before Mike, I had contacted a handyman with good reviews here, and he thought the box I had was good enough for hanging a fan, and was charging me double what Mike did. He was obviously wrong. I had luckily done some research of my own by then, so I didn't get the handyman to do it as I had doubts. Please get a good electrician for such jobs."
