Last night while trying to catch up on some household chores I found that my dryer was not heating. I was scheduled off the next day and hoped I'd be able to get it repaired then without having to change my work schedule.
I've used A-Expert Mel's Appliance Service since moving into the area approximately seven years ago.  I called this morning and was thrilled to find that they were able to get me onto the schedule for today.
Service was scheduled for between noon  and 1:00pm.  Service technician arrived at noon and diagnosed the problem quickly, provided an estimate, had the parts with him and the job was complete within 45 minutes.
Initially he said It could be the gas coils or the igniter.  Once he replaced the coils the dryer was working well.  He suggested leaving the igniter for now and if it does become a problem he'd replace it for the cost of parts - no service charge since he'd already been out. 
He explained that there could possibly be a clog somewhere in the dryer vent line which probably caused the heater coils to burn out. Unfortunately the dryer vented from the second floor and couldn't be reached. He recommended I have the vent cleaned and  as a courtesy he extended the warranty on the parts he'd replaced for 120 days. 
I continue to call Mel's Appliance Service because I know I can trust their integrity -  I know they value long term relationships with customers!   
 
Once again I am very happy with the service Mel's has provided - prompt, courteous, honest and reasonable!

"Sal called and came out on Saturday to give me an estimate. I liked his price and he told me he could do the work immediately. He was able to install the chimney cap, but then the rain came. He said he would be back on Sunday to finish. True to his word, he came back on Sunday, stuccoed the top of the chimney, reseated the attic fan and replaced the cracked siding."
