"Horizon Services Warranty Entrapment New to Delaware, but struggling with a HVAC warranty issue with Horizon. Advice Please. I have been waiting 3 months for an Appointment to get my annual HVAC system serviced by the Horizon team. Starting this process in June, I was told that September 12th was now an Option after 10 min on hold. I did not accept this as this was another month out and I was not available. I have made no less than 5 attempts to get a service appt on my HVAC and each time, since the "10 Year Warranty" maintenance team is 1/10 the size of the fleet driving around, I was told I would be put on a waiting list to be called back. Nothing! No one ever called me. I keep calling them. Horrible! My frustration is a legal one: My system warranty was several thousand dollars on top of the new units and installation. However If i dont get a $149/year Annual Service I void this; if someone else services the units-I void this. I want a way out: 1) Horizon to reimburse or pay another HVAC company of my choosing to perform this service, and keep my warranty in tack in writing. 2) How about a business model for warranty holders: Schedule me like a Dentist....11-12 months year from my last appointment (provided not winter so my AC can be checked), they send me an appointment reminder. This is a big hassle, anyone else have this issue? PS> During my call 8/16 at around 10:30am, i told the representative this was it, if no call back, I would hit social media (Facebook, Linkedin, Nextdoor, BBB). The power of sharing, the power of community. George the owner came and educated us about alternatives for a replacement unit. We decided on an American Standard gold series. Installation was planned for the following week; technicians came on time with prior phone call, did clean work (maybe 5 hours) and left the workplace clean. Unit works perfectly! 10 yrs guarantee on parts."

"Talked to a lot of companies. Mike was about as dte & real as you get. Immediately got good vibes. He sent his 2 son's out to check out my AC unit outside. I'd gotten varying opinions & estimates. Tbh, I became weary, but I figured Mike wasn't feeding me anything but what was real. His boys showed on time, extremely polite, well mannered, knowledgeable & professional. They went right to work. Found the problem without trying to sell me a bunch of extra stuff or pad the price for something it didn't need. Without hesitation, I said do it! I have to admit for 2 very young guys, they knew what they were doing. When they were done fixing my system was cranking it out & putting like a kitten. I was afraid out what my bill would be.
