"We hired Jim Lockhart to design and construct our old run down screened porch and make it into a 3 season porch. Jim used excellent communication skills and computer technology to design,explain, and show pictures of the finished product. His 40 plus years of experience were evident when he went over the progress of the project. Cost factor of the project was reasonable and fair. He also, put in two new storm doors and did and excellent job selecting and installing the doors. Jim and his crew go out of their way to make you satisfied. They take great pride in their work and do and excellent clean up job. I highly recommend Jim. His quality of work is as if he is working on his own home and would treat your home as if it was his. "When we first met with Lew Merryfield, our home was a disaster.  Smoke and intense heat had made it necessary to completely gut and restore our home.  It was a time of great despair and confusion.  Lew was very reassuring that his company would be able to handle to assignment and allow us to return to a home that was better than ever, and agreed to bid the job in the format requested.
After the contract was signed the Merryfield Construction Group was very active, and progress was made every week.  We opted to hire our own subcontractors for plumbing and HVAC, and an electrical contractor recommended by the provider.  The provider and their staff worked well with the other contractors and were communicative with us during the process.  A promise to never abandon working on our home for any significant period of time was kept.  Building options and recommendations were presented at appropriate times and were appreciated.  Lew and his brother George worked with us to solve problems that arose and we always felt like it was a partnership and that they took great pride in their work.  Additional work outside the original contract and work change orders were appropriate and reasonably priced.
The fire was one week before Christmas in 2013, and we were able to move back in late October 2014.  Although this time frame was slightly outside of the original estimate, it was not considered unreasonable given the nature of the work and the change orders. After we moved in, the provider has done a nice job on following up any problem areas and punch list items.
We are very happy with our "new" home and are confident that the provider will continue to stand behind the work.  The overall job turned out much better than we could have expected.  Lew and George Merryfield, and their staff, particularly Tom Ferry, Sean, and Scott, were always respectful and friendly, and took obvious pride in their crafts.  In conclusion, we are glad we selected Merryfield Construction Group and would not hesitate to use them again in the future or recommend them to others."

"Gary Pierrtti designed and installed a curved front brick walkway, an L shaped side brick walkway for our new home last fall. We are delighted with his work and have received so many compliments from our neighbors. Gary just completed a major patio installation for us for our sloped backyard. He put in a curved retaining wall that also serves as extra seating around the fire pit also made out of interlocking pavers. As I was completely overwhelmed with decision making from doing a major demolation/remodel of the inside of the house, my husband and I gave Gary freedom to pick colors and design for the patio project. Who does that? Someone who has used Gary for major projects over the last decade and has always been so happy with his eye for design, color and work. The walkways Gary installed 9 years ago in our old house look as good now as they did when he first did the work. We find Gary extremely hard working, friendly and respectful of the home and neighbors. My husband and I highly recommend Pierrtti’s Landfeatures."

On Monday Chuck and the foreman came to start work on the kitchen floor. I was told I needed more tiles so I went and purchased them. When I returned, tile was being laid, I asked if he removed the old tile and was told it wasn't necessary. They came back Tuesday and finished laying tile and when the foreman put the thresholds down it was not level at all. The new tile is thick. I'm not happy with that as it has become a tripping problem. I was told by the foreman to take a wet sponge and wipe the grouting powder the next day as it wasn't worth his while to drive all that way to do. So I had to do it myself with my bad knees. It took 4 months to obtain a receipt for the job.
