"My driveway came out great. Bill Sr and Bill Jr and their whole crew were very accommodating and professional. Kept me informed and answered any questions I had throughout the whole process. They came with more machinery and crew than I expected. Everything was done with great care for my and my neighbors properties. They cleaned up my yard, the street and anyplace that they needed to work on. Excellent job! Would definitely use them again as well as recommending them to friends and neighbors."

"Accurate Asphalt put my driveway in 4 years ago. I recently had a problem with a small spot on my driveway. I contacted Ace Cooper and he came out the next morning to take a look at it. He said he would fix it, no problem. The relief I felt was tremendous. I would highly recommend Accurate Asphalt for a driveway and for their follow up customer service."

"All American company run by the father and son did the best job ever. I would recommend them to anyone who wants their driveway resealed. They were on time, they called when they were close to my house. Not only did they do a great job, they were very nice people. They are not a 5.0 they are a 10. Harvey Bieber"

"Rob was very responsive to my calls. Within 24 hours of my call, he made time to stop by the house and discuss the options of sealing or repairing the driveway. He was very thorough with the options and gave us honest answers to our questions. His price was very reasonable. Once we decided to have the driveway sealed, he was able to fit us in his schedule within 48 hours. We would highly recommend him and we will use him in the future for all driveway needs. Thanks Rob."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.

Asphalt driveways last anywhere from 15 to 30 years, but if you don’t stay on top of repairs, you may find yourself spending extra to replace your driveway before its typical lifespan. Stay on top of repairing cracks and potholes by routinely inspecting your driveway once or twice a year. It’s a good idea to pressure wash your asphalt driveway at least once a year to keep it clean. Apply a sealer every one to five years, based on your climate.

While blacktop is a type of asphalt, the terms should not be used interchangeably, as not all asphalt qualifies as blacktop. The primary differences are in their composition, production process, and ideal applications. Blacktop contains more stone than other types of asphalt and is heated to a higher temperature during production—300°F or more—while hot-mix asphalt is heated to between 275°F and 300°F. The ratio of bitumen (a tar-like crude oil) is a key differentiator, though sources vary: some state blacktop has less bitumen, making it less durable, while others claim it has a higher ratio. Due to these differences, asphalt is generally more durable and better for high-traffic areas like highways and streets, while blacktop is more suitable for playgrounds and residential driveways. For a driveway project, it is best to consult a professional to determine the most appropriate material.

You should contact your driveway installer before winterizing a newly installed driveway. Winterizing it before the asphalt or concrete has fully cured can damage the driveway. But in many cases, you don't need to winterize a newly installed driveway anyway since it's likely freshly sealed and won't have much damage yet.

With proper maintenance, asphalt milling driveways can last 30 years or more. Over time, you’ll need to regularly sealcoat your driveway. You should also have your driveway inspected every few years and make any repairs as soon as they are necessary; this will prolong the lifespan of your driveway.
