"Super nice job on everything ! I will definitely hire Supreme again. Floyd and his team were excellent in every way. Highly skilled and courteous, great commnicators. So heartening to have Floyd's caliber of person working at my house, in this day and age when there are so many rude people. Floyd is a real winner! Repaired and stained deck. "We had an excellent experience with this paint company from start to finish. Their team was highly professional and clearly took pride in their work. They went above and beyond when it came to prepping the walls—carefully patching and smoothing areas to ensure a flawless final result. Communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. They kept us informed every step of the way, especially when it came to any adjustments or the need for additional coats, which we really appreciated. They also maintained a very clean workspace and left everything spotless once the job was done. The attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We are extremely happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely hire them again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality painting services."

Customers say: Super punctual

"Baldo Ambrocio has been working for us for several years and we have never been disappointed. He is a hard worker, does quality work and shows up on time. He recently replaced part of our wrap-around deck, taking out rotted wood and reinforcing it, then putting on new wood, staining and painting. He also replaced rotted railings and repainted them. We are very pleased with the results and have just hired him again to power-wash the house."

Small jobs welcome

"Erick and his crew are hard working and the work they do is meticulous. Perfection is their goal. We started out painting and discovered mold so Erick replaced the drywall and then finished the painting. He is completely trustworthy, always on time and does everything necessary for a complete and successful job outcome. We would highly recommend him."

"The Cordova Painting crew was excellent! They are VERY professional and meticulous when it comes to cleanliness. We had our entire first floor interior painted including a two story foyer and great room. Cordova Painting came each day on time and ready to work. The painting and drywall results are fantastic!! They completed the job in just over 3 and half weeks and were very reasonably priced. What impressed us as well was that at the end of each day, they vacuumed and mopped our hardwood floors to clean up any dust they may have created that day. Incredible results due to their meticulous attention to detail. HIGHLY recommend Pedro and his crew!!"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

DIY staining or painting is manageable with proper preparation, including safety measures, necessary tools, and adherence to safe weather conditions for application.

Whether to brush or roll stain on wood depends on the project and your preference. Brushing is ideal for smaller, intricate areas and offers more control over the application, ensuring thorough coverage and penetration into the wood's grain.

Conversely, rolling is efficient for more extensive, flat surfaces and can save time. However, it is not always the best fit for textured or uneven wood. Some projects may benefit from combining both methods, using a brush for detail work and a roller for broader areas. Ultimately, the choice between brushing and rolling depends on the specific requirements of your staining project.

Staining pressure-treated wood is a recommended practice. While inherently resilient, it's not impervious to moisture and UV exposure. Staining treated wood is feasible and recommended for enhanced protection and longevity. Applying stain and sealant safeguards against degradation, prolonging its life span. These measures shield the wood from environmental threats while augmenting its aesthetic appeal, ensuring your investment endures the test of time.

Satin paint is generally considered a better choice for woodwork—including trim, baseboards, cabinets, and doors—than flatter finishes like eggshell or matte. Its soft sheen enhances architectural details and stands up well to frequent cleaning and daily wear. Compared to eggshell and matte finishes, satin is more durable for high-touch areas because it is less porous and doesn't absorb dirt as easily. Matte finishes, in particular, are prone to scuffs and are harder to clean, making them less practical for surfaces like doors and cabinets.

Choose based on climate, finish preference (glossy, matte), and durability. Tailored coatings also provide longevity.
