We can come in and inspect the sub structure and guarantee the substructure in writing and install new deck boards and railings, giving you a brand new deck for less than half the cost of a completely new deck, in fact, doing it this way most people can do a really nice composite deck and railings for the cost a of a complete pressure treated deck. Len told me for $2000 more he would do the decking in trex so I thought that was a wise investment. I also asked him to rebulld a small deck off the laundry room which they half assed it. the decking also has a board going down the middle which is not level with the rest of the deck. this guy is a hacker stay away from him! I'm sorry i ever used him to replace my deck. You get what you pay for in this business. the vinyl railings he put up are homedepot quality. Also the steps for the deck are failing and will have to be replaced soon. Horrible job putting up the white latice around the sides of the deck.

We hired Len Robbins to do a roof repair on two small homes in July 2023. The crew completed the work on one roof, and have yet to complete the work on the other roof. Also, the crew left all the old roof debris on the ground around the houses which remain to be cleaned up. Len Robbins shared the pictures of the completed roof, and we paid him before visiting the site...our mistake. But he gave a sob story about having to keep his company afloat, needing to make end of week pay roll, having to pay out a worker comp... Then our elderly parents went to the house and were unable to enter because of all of the debris that remained, it's a hazard. We have contacted Len Robbins multiple times to get this addressed, and have been completed ghosted, no response. Before hiring Len Robbins read all the low star reviews here, they all ring true, and mirror our experience. I don't know about the higher ratings? Is he writing them himself??? And his response to the lower ratings? All the customers fault, no apologies. We will be hiring an attorney to get this work finished, and we will be report in Len Robbins to the Better Business Bureau and the Department of Consumer Protection

"We never did work for these people, I was busy and told them I didn?t have time , I gave them a number of so wine I knew that did handyman work and told them to contact the person directly, I got contacted by the owners and they said the contractor didn?t finish and it wax my fault for recommending him to them, they said they would post a negative review and wouldn?t remove it u til I went back and finished the work myself, which I declined, we?ve been in business a long time and d one of the things I don?t like about Angie?s is anyone can post anything, without verification and it is posted, rather than it being investigated to confirm if th"

Owner Len Robbins came to our deck project with an open mind. He saw the obvious need to replace the most visible components of a badly weathered, unmaintained, poorly constructed 20'x24' deck, but also argued for keeping some structural components -- some joists and headers -- that were in excellent condition and would last as long as any new components. He identified the structural features needing upgrades -- thicker foundation posts, closer spacing of joists, missing cross-bracing, new footers -- and worked with us through several different quotes as we considered wood vs composite options, involving many on-site visits, phone calls, and email exchanges. The final product saved us thousands over the more typical clear-cutting approach to deck building. Although the work started later than we had hoped, due to delays on finishing a previous project, Len and his crew, led by Rumulio, stayed with our project to completion once they had started, finishing by Xmas. We cannot wait for winter to end so that we can begin to truly enjoy our new deck. We recommend Len Robbins enthusiastically as a no-nonsense, knowledgeable, and cordial contractor, and a great partner in any construction project. We would definitely hire him again.

He took my money and ran, I paid him $10,000 in January and never saw him again. He never told me his first name is Stanley, nowhere online it shows his first name is Stanley, even in previous complaints. My roof was installed incorrectly and the shingles are raising and lifting, the gutters are pulling away from the house and he was notified in February. He told me that he would be out the next day and I have not seen him since January when he was paid over $13,000 so far. He removed a barn and was supposed to do a cleanup and grating and did not do that, he also dug a hole in my neighbors property. He removed a garage was supposed to rebuild and the cleanup, and there is a pile of lumber next to it, there are pieces of long metal in my neighbor property. I pointed out to Len and his workers my property line numerous times nothing should have been in my neighbor's property and should have never been dug up. He was paid in full for all work that and paid in advance for all the work in the garage and has not responded to any of my texts.

"We were contracted to do work for the customer and we completed the work, unfortunately the customer suffers from from issues that made it too difficult to work with and we referred out the last part of the project to another contractor, I would get phone calls in the middle of the night, sometimes twice a night saying someone is breaking into her house, I contacted the police and was told they investigated the situation multiple times and there was no break ins, it went from felling sorry to frustrating , the customer doesn?t seem to be able to distinguish what is going on, I still get text messages all hours of the night like we?re best fri"

Advanced Construction of CT is the worst general contracting company I have every worked with. Len is unprofessional and unreliable. I hired Len in the spring of 2021 to replace the roof on my new home. I am a senior citizen and have chosen to retire in Litchfield County. Roofing paper and shingles were installed crooked and needed to be replaced. When replacing flashing they punch several holes through the ceiling in my Living Room. And, during the first rain storm after they completed the job water leaked through the new roof into my kitchen. They caulking they used fell off. After calling the manufacturer they said the product was not intended for use on the materials at my house. They did not use primer on paint job on trim and in other areas not visible from the ground, there is little paint. Gutters are bent and, a year after the job, the ground around the house still has nails on the ground Several times, at least 4-5, no one showed up to work. When I called Mr. Robbins the answers I got were, one of his workers stole his truck and tools or one of the workers has a drinking problem, or he called them but they are not answering his calls. I was able to get most of the work done to a passable level only by engaging in the first steps of legal action with my attorney. I am continuing legal action to complete the work. I made the mistake of hiring someone who is not a licensed contractor and will never do that again.

"Please take a look at my reviews, the ongoing theme is great customer service, we did the roof for the guy and yes, it got a small leak which we came back and fixed right away, after it was fixed he had a list of things he wanted me to do for what said was him going through hell, almost none of it had anything to do with the roof, when I told him. I did t have the ability to service him for what he wanted, painting, caulking, and rot repair he said if I did not do the work he would make my life miserable, I guess this is what he meant, if he had a real issue, he could have called the Department of Consumer Protection or get an attorney, which he did not."
