"We had an excellent experience with this paint company from start to finish. Their team was highly professional and clearly took pride in their work. They went above and beyond when it came to prepping the walls—carefully patching and smoothing areas to ensure a flawless final result. Communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. They kept us informed every step of the way, especially when it came to any adjustments or the need for additional coats, which we really appreciated. They also maintained a very clean workspace and left everything spotless once the job was done. The attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We are extremely happy with how everything turned out and would absolutely hire them again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality painting services."

"I have a large deck with a grape vine top. It was in dire need of repairs(washing, sanding, replacing rotted wood, staining) I called J. Corrigan from Angie's list. He arrived estimated and I contracted with him. His team arrived and an excellent job was performed in the amount of time given. I will be calling them again for other projects. "Thanks Joe and team for a job well done.""

"Dani and his team are fantastic. I had them paint 3 rooms and a hallway. During the quote phase Dani was able to give me advice when I was unsure and I was very happy with how it worked out. Additionally during the painting process he made sure to keep me up to date on where they were. 2 colors needed a 3rd coat and he was upfront about cost. When he took me to see the final product I was blown away by their hard work and cleanliness. I would hire them again!"

"Very professional and honest. Bartek took his time to go through all my options, very knowledgeable and patient. He gave me a fair estimate and kept his price without any “additional cost.” He did a beautiful job repainting my apartment. Detail oriented and very clean. I’m definitely using his services again."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

It’s best to prime composite decking before painting. This promotes better paint adhesion, helps create a smooth finish, and can mean the paint job will last longer. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for application, allow ample primer drying time before painting (typically 24 to 48 hours), and thoroughly clean the deck boards to promote the best adhesion.

When staining a deck, don’t skip surface prep, avoid staining damp or dirty boards, and don’t apply stain in extreme heat, cold, or wet conditions. Never overload the wood with a stain, as too much can cause tackiness or peeling. Also, don’t forget to test a small area first to ensure the color and finish look right.

You have a couple of options when choosing a durable pool deck coating. Epoxy is common and offers excellent stain and water resistance. Epoxy also withstands high temperatures and UV lighting, making it ideal for sunny spots. You can also add a coating to cement, which significantly lowers the temperature of the concrete, is environmentally safe, and makes cleanup a breeze.

Yes, pressure-treated wood can occasionally turn green due to certain preservatives, such as copper-based chemicals, used during the treatment process. These chemicals react with the wood, creating a greenish tint. The good news? It's temporary, and the color will fade over time. Staining or painting can also help hide any unwanted hues.

Generally, these steps are included in exterior house painting:

  • Prepping and protecting the areas not being painted

  • Scraping away loose paint

  • Cleaning off dirt, grease, and debris

  • Caulking gaps and openings

  • Priming with a quality paint primer

  • Painting the prepared areas, including trim and accents with chosen paint finish

  • Adding a second coat

  • Cleaning up the site and disposing of tape, plastic, and drop cloths
