"Pacific Stone and Tiles came to measure and showed about 6 choices for granite selection for the offer price. We were working with our own interior designer and we were on FaceTime with her. She nixed the 6 choices so Pacific Stone showed us another granite which was from India and was mostly white with few markings and some reddish-brownish highlights. The effect of this Indian granite was white and it coordinated nicely with our maple cabinets. Our interior designer told us to choose that and we agreed to pay Pacific Stone $1000. more for this granite from India. No name was given for this new granite in writing. When the day of installation came, the old countertop was removed. I did not think to go out and look at the granite in the truck before installation. The installation was done very efficiently and very nicely. However, the countertop did not look like what we were expecting. The color effect was gray with many markings. We were expecting a whitish granite and got gray. I asked to see the original sample that we had been shown when we selected the white granite but they did not have it on the truck. I contacted Pacific Stone and they emailed me a photo of what they said was the granite sample they showed me, but it did not look what they showed me. The granite we got was called moon white on the final bill but it had no name on the original invoice we signed. I made a number of inquiries about the discrepancy between the granite color we expected and what we received. Pacific Stone said there are natural variations in the appearance of each granite variety. However, we paid $1000 more because we thought we were getting the granite color we and our interior designer viewed and chose. I don't think I got the granite we selected and feel I paid $1000 too much. I now have to figure out how to get the granite to coordinate with the maple cabinets as well as regretting that I paid $1000 more than I should have."

"The entire project went very well and we were completely satisfied. Brian Rudd was highly professional, friendly and courteous. He made himself available to answer any questions that came up and held communication with the customer as his number one rule.Steve and his crew continued in this same vein to ensure that my wife and I were always kept in the loop with regard to decisions and progress.The crew was highly knowledgeable and skilled, which is probably why they were able to complete the bulk of the project within six and a half working days. Crew members always cleaned up at day's end and were always willing to answer questions.Brian, Steve and the entire crew were very responsive in their dealings with us. As an example; after losing power in the evening after the first day of the project, I called Brian. Thirty minutes later, five crew members arrived to diagnose the problem and get power restored. At eight o'clock the following morning, Brian's electrician arrived to review the problem and ensure that it wouldn't recur. The mantle for the front door surround was somewhat of a problem in that neither my wife or I liked the style of the overlapping keystone. Brian actually got his product distributor out to our house to look at it and to suggest alternatives from the catalogue. We found what we liked and Brian sent someone to install the new one a few days later. Brian wasn't happy unless we were happy.BTW - a written unconditional warranty was delivered after project completion and final payment. We would definitely hire Vista Home Improvement again.
