Small jobs welcome

"Paul was absolutely fantastic. I had a main sewer line clog backing up into my basement. Paul came out, knew exactly where to access the main line, and cleared the blockage quickly with professional equipment. He pulled out a ton of buildup and completely fixed the issue the right way — not just a temporary patch. On top of that, he was honest, explained everything clearly, and saved me over $400 compared to other plumbing companies told me I would’ve had to pay. Super knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. No upselling, no nonsense — just solid work. If you need a plumber who actually gets the job done, Paul is your guy. Highly recommend and will definitely call him again."

"They cut out the old dry wall, removed any and all mold, then replaced the dry wall, placed a tub and shower unit, they had their plumber come in and adjust our piping and install our new shower head and tub faucet all within 6-7 hrs. The installers were very nice, respectful, polite young men-- I would 10/10 recommend this company!!"

"Matt, AJ, Scott, Vinnie, Charlie all did a terrific job. They installed a gas water heater, installed a shut off on the water heater where there was one missing, replaced a kitchen sink from an old double sink to a new full size sink and in doing so, moved the garbage disposal and re-piped the whole project. They checked other pipes & plumbing and repaired a broken outside water pipe. Tisha in the office was also wonderful - very accommodating, congenial and they are all very customer service oriented. Respectful, honest, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Start by gathering your municipal water account details and any records regarding your service line materials. Request your property permit history to identify previous unpermitted plumbing modifications. Document the exact locations of your water meter and main shutoff valve. Take clear photographs of visible pipes in your basement, and note any history of flooding or slow drains to help your CT contractor plan the project effectively.

Helpful?

Errors in your sewer lateral connections and drain-waste-vent systems create severe hazards, including sewer gas leaks inside your home. Improper municipal water tap connections and backflow preventers lead to immediate service shutoffs and health risks. Furthermore, water heater installations demand precise pressure relief piping and seismic strapping to meet CT code. Always hire a licensed professional for plumbing to ensure these sensitive systems function safely and correctly.

Helpful?

If your Willimantic home dates back to the mill era, you are an excellent candidate for upgraded plumbing. Older properties feature outdated galvanized steel pipes, lead solder, and clay sewer laterals that restrict flow and cause leaks. Check for low water pressure, basement moisture, or frequent drain backups. Properties with unknown service line materials or unpermitted past modifications require immediate professional inspections to prevent future water damage.

Helpful?

You will encounter several types of licensed professionals handling plumbing in Willimantic. Master plumbers oversee projects and secure required permits, while journeyperson plumbers perform the hands-on work under their supervision. You can also hire specialized contractors for specific needs, such as drain cleaning experts, well drillers, pump installers, and certified backflow prevention testers. Homes with hydronic heating systems require contractors holding combined heating and plumbing credentials.

Helpful?

The cold winters in Willimantic cause deep ground frost, requiring you to install any outdoor plumbing at least 48 inches deep to prevent freeze damage. Older local homes also face high risks of frozen indoor pipes during cold snaps. Additionally, spring flooding from the nearby rivers raises groundwater levels, making proper sump pump installation essential. Schedule your exterior trenching between spring and fall, as frozen ground halts winter work.
