"The plumber came to give an estimate for replacing the hot water valve for our sink which we could not shut off. He asked if we wanted to replace the cold water shut off valve and we told him we didn't since it worked fine. We also wanted to replace a faucet on the same sink with a new one that we had purchased. So he wrote up a quote to (1) replace the faucet with a customer supplied faucet, (2) replace the hot and cold shut off valves and (3) replace and install just the cold. We also asked for a quote to do some plumbing work in the master bathroom. When expressed our surprise at how high the total amount would be for the work, he said we could do it all at once or little by little. So when he arrived to perform the work to only replace the hot water shut off valve he charged us just about double from what was on the quote! This price was not made clear to us when we asked for the estimate, nor was the price on the estimate. If he had told us what the price was by doing it little by little, we definitely wouldn't have had the work done at double the price! He did not make it clear in the proposal that if we replaced one valve only to start ( doing it little by little) that the price would be different. Not only was it not clear on the proposal, he didn't write what the the price would be if we broke up the work. Will not recommend them to neighbors and will not use them in the future."
