"Not the best, but I guess not the worst either.
They did the door blower test which revealed different air leaks in the house. They sealed around some of the doors in the home, installed some door sweeps, caulked around baseboard registers etc. However, the work was far from consistent and less than professional in quality.
There are 15 registers / returns in the home and we were told they would caulk around them all, they caulked around 7. 2 of which the caulking was so thin that it cracked before the next morning.
There are 3 sinks in the house where pipes were supposedly "foamed and insulated" on their report. There is no additional insulation visible anywhere that I can see.
We are entitle up to 40 CFL light bulbs in the home, however, even the 30 they said they changed were not completed.
For example:
-there are 2 nightstand lamps in the bedroom. One lamp received a CFL and the other wasn't touched.
-there is a hallway ceiling light that was supposed to be changed out with CFLs, but still has the same old bulbs.
-downstairs bathroom still has all three original bulbs
-two bedroom ceiling fans that take regular "A" type bulbs all have the same bulbs
I sent an email to the gentlemen who came out to the house asking if we could at least receive the extra bulbs. He did respond and said yes, but never got back in touch with me. After the general overall experience I did not bother chasing after them for a few more dollars worth of bulbs. However, the whole point is not the money, its the fact that these were all listed on the report and not completed accordingly.
They did recommend an insulation company to come in and give us a quote and also told us about different programs offered from the state which would allow us access to rebates for making home energy improvements. All in all, I guess it helped us to know where the air leaks were in the house, but the overall performance of the team was simply sub-par. They were nice, polite and somewhat informative but by no means "wowed" me.

"The technician who came was a pleasant, competent professional who examined the unfinished attic to evaluateit w/r/t insulation only or insulation as part of a full finishing of the space. He took measurements and scratched out some information on his pad.. I told him that I intended to review my options before any decision. I offered payment at that time and he told me there was no charge for this service. It struck me as odd that he told me that what I had agreed to pay $19.00 for was actually free but I asumed billing would accompany an actual report/proposal. A month on I've never seen anything like a report although I have been charged via credit card for the inspection service. Perhaps the report-recommendation is still on its way? PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS REVIEW FORM REQUIRES A YES/NO HIRE AGAIN RESPONSE. I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED TO ANSWER UNDECIDED."

"Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."

"Feb. snow and rainstorms caused a large ice dam to form on our North side roof, and we had water damage in both the master bathroom and the family room.
Both ceilings had water stains--and both were cathedral ceilngs--high and difficult to reach.  We also had some cracked plaster in the corner of the family room from settling,  as well as one corner in the kitchen. The very top of the ceiling in the master bath had some loosening of the drywall tape and "mud", and since we were at it, I asked them to include this, as well as a cleaning and replacement of light bulbs in the kitchen fan--again, too high for us to get to.  Inspection of the bathroom water stain proved to be not from the ice dam, but a problem with the installation of the bathroom fan and light by the original owners--use of too small a unit and no insulation, causing lots of condensation which leaked down and stained the ceiling.  Both rooms would need repainting of the ceilings and the family room needed a total repaint.  Touch-up of the bathroom wall where some nails had popped and needed recovering would be enough. They matched our 9 year old paint perfectly.
The men arrived punctually each of the three days it required.  They moved and/or covered furnishings and carpeting both in the rooms and in the hallways to protect  them and were very careful to keep dust and dirt to a minimum, and cleaned everything up each night so we could resume normal  living.  They did a great job with everything, and installed a new fan unit of the correct size in the bathroom--cleaned up my kitchen ceiling, and made the fan/light unit look like new. The men were courteous and good at their jobs and did everything we had asked.
Our house looks great again, and we are very satisfied with the company, their estimator Phil; Joe, their supervisor, and his crew.
We'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

"Dave the sales guy came out for an estimate I was a little reluctant, I had 4 other companies come out to give me a quote on the the window and the estimates were all over the border and the quality of the windows from the other companies just weren't making me feel secure about prices. Dave the salesman came in and even though I was only looking to replace one window, he said let's walk around the house just so I can show you the difference between the windows I'm selling and your others, he was able to intelligently show me the way the other windows were installed and things that needed to be changed long term. He wasn't pushy and was able to say these windows don't need to be replaced but here is the difference in quality of what I'm selling you vs what you have in now. He brought a sample window with him with a heat lamp so I could see the difference. He was able to show me the things that would needed to be done to the window as they were removing it. The other companies did not even include in their estimates the border of the window once it was removed, insulation to the window or the replacement warranties. Dave was able to sell me a window with a life time warranttee that could even be turned over to one additional owner should I sell my house. Dave was able to show me the difference in the price of different windows with samples he could sell me the why I would want each of them and why I would not. Everything was put in writing and explained to me with no high pressure of buy this today feeling he told me to take some time and think about it and when I was ready call him. Once I signed the contract, they sent the instillation team to come over to do a final measurement on the window to make sure the measurements were correct. When they came they showed up with flowers for me, and a card which was a nice added tough. The three men that showed up to do the instillation were very professional to do the instillation they explained to me everything that they were going to do before it was done and during the process kept me posted. I took photographs of the before and after, everyone driving by the house says what a facelift the house had by just changing this one window out. I would tell you I was reluctant at first because I had never heard of this brand of window and did lots of research on it before signing the contract. When I did the research it ended up being a top rated brand of windows with high reviews from several people. The price was very reasonable compared to other large bow windows I was looking at. I would highly recommend Dave & Dave.
