They did a great job installing two stainless steel flue liners, one for the fireplace and one for the gas furnace, replacing the furnace pipe connection, and neatly closing up the entrance to the chimney wall. Repaired the top cap, installed top plates to lining system and installed two rain caps to prevent water, animals and debris from getting inside. On the outside of the chimney, repaired and replaced seven bricks with new mortar. Repaired crown with crown seal and attached new flashing at roof. Waterproofed chimney. Cleaned up all debris inside and out Very personable and efficient team. I am very happy with the work done on my 50 year old chimney."

"Over the past winter I noticed a bad water leak inside my fireplace that had saturated the mortar and brick. A inspection revealed that the crown of the chimney was damaged and that water had run down interior of chimney and into fireplace. Pictures were taken of the crown and a visual inspection of smoke chamber with tech showed extensive damage within as well as top rows of fireplace brick that had loosened. I was advised not to use fireplace due to the damage. A new crown as well as a custom cap where installed on the exterior and smoke chamber was relined. Also the first two row of fireplace firebrick were removed and reset. Chimney flues were in great shape and chimney was swept as well. Thanks to Adam who supervised and coordinated the job and to my tech Francis who did all the work required over several days. The job progressed to my satisfaction and the crew were meticulous and clean while doing the work and upon completion with cleanup. Would not hesitate to use them again as they are well informed of the workings of chimney and fireplace."

They arrived on time and called ahead of time to let me know they were coming. They were very careful with the dust coming out of the chimney and left the room where they worked very clean. "Home Service Experts matched a $50 offer from a competitor when we called them before the job began. They arrived late but called us to explain their circumstances at least three times in advance of their arrival. They had been on another job which ran late because that homeowner had no heat and Home Service Experts wouldn't leave them without heating. Upon their arrival, they inspected our fireplace and immediately explained that there was no need to clean it. They showed me that the chimney was completely void of creosote by looking up into it with a light. When inspecting the fireplace, we told them that water had been accumulating in it. Home Service Experts thoroughly examined the fireplace looking for the source of the leak including getting a ladder and climbing onto the roof. They examined the flashing at the base of the chimney, noted it was not sealed, and went into detail as to how I could test for a water leak and repair it myself or contact someone who does flashing. They also explained and showed me that inside the chimney, one wall of the flue was not concreted (evidently, it should have been) but the owner didn't think that was the root cause of the leak. Overall, they spent considerable time and offered clear and thorough explanations to me, all at no charge. The owner seemed like a very knowledgeable and likeable guy who was really trying to be helpful. Seemed like an old school, blue collar type which I truly appreciated. Would call them again or recommend them without reservation."
