"I needed invasive vines and poison ivy removed from areas around my property.Matt went over the whole job with me and explained the way he would do it and assured me about the safety of his method. He even noticed something that needed to be be treated on a magnolia in my yard. He arrived the next day and did the job quickly and thoroughly. Hi price was more than fair. The fact that he was a licensed arborist and had other certifications was doubly ressuring."

Customers say: Quality work

"Don was very pleasant to work with and was easy to contact. He was available on weekends to discuss the job and various options, and then I felt comfortable with him going to the property at a later date. They have a wide array of machine options so can handle a lot of jobs."

"Excellent experience. The lead guy (Nathan Timberman) was very friendly, efficient, and helpful. On the day they did the work, the crew showed up on time, clearly know exactly what they were doing, and completed the job very quickly. Every member of the crew was also fluent in English, which nowadays is a big plus."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.

Trees are beneficial to the environment and wildlife. If you have an old tree, but it’s healthy, it may be best to avoid cutting it down. However, if it’s showing signs of bug infestation, disease, or is potentially hazardous, then you should contact a tree removal company to cut it down.

If you are unsure whether you should have it removed or not, then speak with an arborist to determine what is best.

The average tree pruning should take one hour with the right equipment. Light pruning of a small tree may only take around 15 to 20 minutes. Pruning multiple large trees in your yard will probably take several hours, including cleanup. However, tree pruning pros can do this job much faster, so you can rely on pros if you’re short on time.

It depends on where you live—but in most areas, leaves begin falling in September and continue falling until January or February. Warmer regions, such as Southern states, may see leaves fall a bit later in the calendar year. It also depends on the type of trees in your yard and their maturity.

After a big storm, you may not be sure if a tree was struck or not. Look for the telltale long scars, like strips or gouges in the bark of the tree, running in sometimes jagged lines down the length of the trunk. These scars will often show vulnerable living wood inside the tree. It’s also common to see scorched or wilted leaves on the side or top of the tree where lightning struck.
