Customers say: True professional

"We contracted Alfred to completely paint the interior of our home. He gave us a more than reasonable price to do all ceilings, walls, trim, bathroom cabinets. Before I could even mention that I only wanted Benjamin Moore paint, he told me that is what he always uses. His price was about 40% less than my other estimate. His crew was fantastic! Efficient, courteous, neat, professional, and true craftsmen. No spills and no surprises. WE WOULD NOT CONTRACT WITH ANY OTHER PAINTING COMPANY!"

"Scott and his crew provided superlative service. Scott went above and beyond to make sure that every detail was perfect, and returned to our house several times for fine touch-up work. He is friendly, helpful, and the work he did was excellent. We are hiring him and his crew again after the new year to paint our second floor. His prices were reasonable, and his preference for the Peter Gabriel-helmed iteration of Genesis is the mark of a discerning gentleman."

"First of all, I love the job they did oainting our house Franklyn and his crew were skilled and careful painters. They were also professional, arriving almost every morning to start work and let us know if they weren't coming the next day They also cleaned up after themselves every time they painted They were a pleasure to work with"

"Overall the Ronaldo and his team did an excellent job. Their workmanship is first rate and the painters were polite and kept the work area neat. The only minor complaint I would have is that sometimes Ronaldo would be late or not show up for appointments. Would recommend them without reservation."

"The agreement included completing wall preparation and painting. The wall preparation work was not done well, initially. There were several cycles of us finding dozens of areas with wall defects and the painters making repairs. In the end the overall quantity of the painting is good, but there were more issues than appropriate."

"This is the kind of guy you want on your job. Name a quality as a tradesman, he has it - responsive, punctual, skilled, hard working, reliable. But perhaps his best quality is as a person: he's honest and fair. When Troy schedules something, tells you what has to happen, gives you choices, you can be sure he is giving it to you square. I've used Troy numerous times and he has always created solutions and improved the project. I've called him on a Sunday after botching some electrical work and he came right over, and for a very reasonable price. He can do anything. He is also very tech savvy and can make your head spin with his digital estimates with photos of the work. I highly endorse Troy Rosebrock. Great guy.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

You shouldn’t need extra adhesive for peel-and-stick backsplash tile. The adhesive on the back of the tile sheets should do the trick. However, if you experience issues with the tile peeling or falling off, make sure the wall you’re working on isn’t textured, as that can prevent the materials from properly adhering.

Common mistakes when finishing basement walls include neglecting proper insulation, insufficient moisture management, and poor ventilation. Not addressing these issues can lead to mold growth, water damage, and discomfort. Additionally, inadequate planning, improper framing, and rushing the project can result in subpar outcomes.

It's essential to follow best practices, seek professional guidance if needed, and prioritize thoroughness and attention to detail.

Yes, many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, especially those made of vinyl or polyester. However, its success depends heavily on the level of moisture and ventilation. In bathrooms with good ventilation, such as those with fans, it can be a durable option. Peel-and-stick wallpaper may not adhere as well as traditional wallpaper in very humid conditions. For bathrooms that see a lot of moisture, like a kids' bathroom or a full bath with a steamy shower and poor ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

While textured walls can elevate a space in many ways, there are a couple of downsides to consider. Namely, they’re hard to clean, and some textures fall out of fashion quickly. Make sure to consider all your options to find one you truly love before diving in.

No, you don’t need to apply paint primer to your wall before hanging paintable wallpaper. Manufacturers design paintable wallpaper so that the paint will adhere effectively, so primer isn’t necessary. Plus, even if you opt for a light shade of paint, you won’t have to worry about the shade underneath showing through because you are painting on a light, white surface.
