"I am beyond happy that we hired Mr.Treeman to do the massive work that needed to be done in my backyard. They completed a task of removing and taking down two trees that were about 80 feet long in one day! They were so professional and helpful with things that were not in the job description but went above and beyond to support us during this time. The tree fell on our house during the rainstorm so part of our house was destroyed. They provided us with anything we needed and for that we are beyond grateful and satisfied as paying customers! Every single person on our property demonstrated how experienced they were and because of that we were able to not worry about the project that needed to be done! I will highly recommend Mr. Treeman to anyone in need of tree removal or take down! Excellent experience They get 10 stars from us not 5! Thank you Mr. Treeman for the services you all provided in our residence!"

"Bryan is fantastic and my new go to guy for stump grinding. Easy to talk to, courteous and professional. Big red oak and medium maples in some challenging spots. Quote process was seamless, he showed up when he said he would and worked hard until the job was finished. Also very safety minded and cleaned up nicely when finished. He is the only one I will call next time."

"Communities easily and promptly via calls and texts, which I appreciate. He came to our house to give us a quote before leaf-blowing was done. Worked with us on price. Beautiful job on the 2 occasions we hired them."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Yes, cutting a tree's roots can cause it to fall, particularly if major support roots are severed. In extreme cases, trimming roots can affect the tree's structure and stability. Many crucial roots are located just below the soil's surface. If you make severe cuts to roots more than 2 inches in diameter, you risk impacting the tree's water flow and its ability to withstand severe winds or storms. Even cutting roots less than half an inch in diameter under or outside the tree's canopy can cut off its water supply, causing it to decline, die, and eventually topple.

For safety reasons, leaning trees are best removed by a professional, as they may often tear away from the hinge, causing you to lose control over where the tree falls. If you choose to cut down a tree leaning slightly, avoid cutting off root protrusions before you start. Make your hinge a little longer than usual by cutting it deeper (up to 30% of the diameter) and applying a wedge into the felling cut on the side the tree is leaning. Stand away from the direction the tree leans while making your felling cut.

Ivy eventually kills trees by restricting its growth, blocking sunlight, absorbing nutrients and water from the soil, and weakening the tree. Trees with ivy are more likely to experience diseases, pests, rot, and fungi growth. When ivy weighs down tree branches, the tree is more likely to break during a storm and cause damage.

No, you should never top maple trees. Topping injures the tree and leads to the rapid growth of a weak canopy, which can be hazardous to rooftops and utility lines. Removing the crown can also leave the interior bark vulnerable to sun damage, leading to insects and disease. A topped tree can also reduce property value and permanently damage the appearance of a tree.

If executed correctly your tree should survive after being transplanted to a new spot. However, effective transplanting requires six months, careful root pruning, safe transport to the new location, and replanting in prime soil conditions. You’ll also need an appropriately sized root ball for a complete tree transplant. A good rule of thumb is that, for every inch in diameter, your tree’s root ball needs to be around 11 inches. So a tree with a diameter of six inches needs a root ball of approximately 66 inches.
