Excellent work

These trees were somewhat neglected, not having ever been pruned previously. The arborist who came to review the job and provide estimate was very knowledgeable and helpful. Explained everything he was recommending. The crew that performed the work did a great job; the trees look very good and prepared for structural integrity going forward. Work included one cable brace. The estimate was not the least costly of several, but the knowledge conveyed led me to choose this provider. I'm glad I made this choice.

They were excellent. They were referred to me by a friend who is an accomplished horticulturist, and they have a great knowledge base. They are a bit pricey but they are worth it.

They were very helpful after Sandy and gave a prompt response. They did good work, but were expensive.  Recently, they came back without being called, walked around my property and then sent me a proposal for $600 of work.  I didn't appreciate them initiating that without my permission.

The work turned out just fine.  They knew what they were doing.

Rick came out to make a thorough assessment of the work I was interested in, and even took the time to do a full property walk through since I had questions about several trees. He was very knowledgeable about every tree in my yard and had thoughtful suggestions for work or leaving things alone, including some everyday DIY maintenance I should be thinking about. We agreed on my original request: prunining15-20 feet up on a spruce tree. We added height reduction and archetectural pruning on our river birches, repositioning the root ball of a small tree bent in one of the storms (plus guy wires), prune dogwood of old branches, and he added a freebie of pruning a neighbor's white pine branch hanging over our property.
Once the work was completed, I noticed that the root ball hadn't been dug out and repositioned?only straps were used to reposition the tree's trunk?and the freebie cut hadn't been made. I contacted Rick who got back to me in a very timely manner. He drove out to our property and inspected the crew's work. He also spoke with the crew members to find out why they decided not to dig out the root ball. He had the crew come back and switch out the straps for thinner, less noticeable guy wires, and prune the overhanging white pine.
Overall, I was happy with the follow up and the work performed was good. I appreciate the dedication to getting the work done right. Also, I like their online/paperless billing system.

The staff is responsive, knowledgeable, and trustworthy.  They advise us on things that we can do ourselves (often saying "if you'd like, we can do this - but I suspect you'd be comfortable [fill in the blank]") and also take care of things that are bigger and require more expertise and special equipment. Every visit from an arborist is a learning experience - finding details about the plants around our property and tips for their care and maintenance throughout the year. They are courteous and really understand the look that we are going for - cared for, but not too manicured.  We would recommend again and again.

Requested Bartlett  to trim a very extensive evergreen hedge; much of
the work was not done properly or was not done at all, a large amount of
the trimmings was not cleaned up; when I complained they first offered
to redo the work which I refused, and then they offered to fertilize my
lawn, which I also refused.  I told them I would not pay the original
estimate, and I am still waiting for a final bill.

Took a while to get an estimate (high demand time), but they gave me an appointment for one instantly.  Work was performed within two weeks of notice to proceed.

They did an excellent job. They cleaned up very well. They were easy to talk to and overall did a great job.

We have them come out maybe 6 or 7 times each summer. Their prices are a little high but their quality is good. They did an excellent job and I will use them again in the future.

They have done a couple of jobs for me. We had one really dangerous 50 foot pine that was on the property. It had some bugs from a few years ago and the gigantic woodpeckers went after it. They pecked it such a way that it would not fall in our property but directly on someone else's house.  The tree was considered very unstable and dangerous and we had to get it down safely without damaging anything. They have done a lot clean up and clear out. They took out different trees some unstable and some dying. They have done a lot of real good work for me.  They have always been really good. Elizabeth is one of the co owners of the business. They are a lot of massive trees on the property and you keep getting confused with their heights. We have these enormous threes. We had one tree that was rotted out to about 6-7 feet and they took that one out very carefully because it was near the house.  They took down a whole bunch of red oak trees so that they would get out of the way of the roofers.  When they came down to cut the large tree they were here pretty much the whole day. They were here about 7:30am and they took less than an hours break for lunch and they were finished by about 4:30pm.  They did an incredible job. They were very polite and professional.  They came in early actually. They were very punctual. I would use them again as I have a couple of other trees to work on.

It went great. I love them. Their ability to work with my neighbor?s in a professional and courteous manner improved my relationship with my neighbor?s. The project manager, who came out and inspected the site both before and after the jobs were done, was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating to our difficult schedule.
