Bartlett Tree Experts - 11212

Very professional operation. Used a new machine to get to the taller branches. They asked us if everything was as we wanted throughout the day. The Beech tree was over 90 feet tall and very large.

Bartlett was exceptional. We were impressed by their professionalism and their attention to safety. They were also obliging when we asked them to remove additional trees once the first two were gone. The price paid was well worth it and they made sure to clean up their work area.

The tree was taken down. Some trimming was done to the two trees included in the quote. The work was good but the price for the work done was significantly higher than other service providers in the area. I would like to use them more in the future but the price/work produced ration seems much higher than other tree services. If you do have a large tree to take down though they are the only ones in the area that have a large, high capacity boom crane capable of working on the 80 foot trees. Especially those trees that are located in difficult to access areas of your property. You will see in the review that I said that we would use the provider in the future. That is because of the equipment they have but definitely not the price structure they use to estimate. Having them do trimming work is just not economically justified. Removing smaller trees is also not something that I would hire them for. Large tree removal or trimming work on very large trees (60 - 80 feet in height) is clearly their sweet spot of service.

In my opinion, this company does tend to charge more for their service as compared to other companies that we also got quotes from. Overall, we would get estimates from them again for similar work and consider using them.

The trees were removed exactly as agreed upon with no damage to any item on the property. The service was very professional and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Arborist/representative was quick to respond and come out for a quote. Since a tree had fallen on my house during a snowstorm the previous year, I wanted to have the trees around the house evaluated. The representative was attentive and showed me all of the things he was concerned about and explained what he looked for. I liked that he preferred installing cables in several large trees rather than cut them down. The work was performed about a month later. I wasn't home at the time since I had to work but when I came home I noticed that a large healthy tree in my backyard was cut down rather than the adjacent dead one. I called the rep to complain and he came out to see the next day. I had to leave work early to meet him. He acknowledged that he hadn't come to supervise the job himself and hadn't marked any trees before. But he said he could only offer me the cost of the wood ($100-200) rather than the cost of an established new tree. He spent 30 minutes arguing with me in my backyard and even tried to blame me for rushing them which was supposedly why he could not come to supervise. He ultimately agreed to plant a new tree in its place which is still much smaller than the tree it replaced. They offered no discount on the service and I still had to pay the full cost of the job. The rest of the work they did was OK as far as I can tell.

They left a mess behind and left without acknowledging to us that the job was over. When I called them, they said that it was a harder job than expected. I would not discourage anyone from using them as they know what they are doing. However, I felt that their customer relations are not the best. We were not thrilled with the work that they did for us.

We have been using their services for about three years. The people are very reliable. They did a fine job with the work.

We have been using their services since they bought out the company we were previously using about two years ago. They get the job done and do not overcharge for the cost.  We are quite happy with them.

The service was pretty good. They did an excavation of the tree base and the work looked very good. It was pricey but they did a good job. They wanted us to become part of a regular plan but we did not choose to do that. They gave a quote a day after contacting them.

Very professional I  was provided a written estimate,  showed up on appointed date and time- the work was very well done.

The Bartlett Tree team out of Essex CT did a great job.  The trees were removed and you could barely tell that the work was done.  There was no damage to the lawn, there was no saw dust left, and the stumps were all cut very cleanly and close to the ground.  They did a great job and I would highly recommend them.

Arborists followed modified work order form. The original contract called for removal of the entire tree and grinding of the stump. As we have a fireplace, we wanted to keep the wood from the tree. We also wanted the stump left intact for decorative purposes. The stump was left for us, as was all of the wood from the tree suitable for the fireplace. All other scraps were cleaned up and removed.

The crew arrived on time with all the required equipment. The work was done with care and expertise. An 80 foot crane was used to handle the largest trees with no damage to the backyard plantings, trellis, boat rack. or electrical feeds to the house. I had 2 previous no-bids on the job due to the complexity and the requirement for "climbers". They did a fine job and I will have them back again.

They are very good. They are very professional.  They show up when they say, give you a exact estimate, do a good job and do not leave a mess.

The arborist, Eric, was very thorough and professional offering many
suggestions for our yard. The workers were prompt, friendly and neat. They are very
well equipped with a bucket truck and lift. We were upset because we
couldn't see the 4 cables they installed in the tree but they were
purposely installed so they would not be noticeable. The office called
right after to get our reaction to the service. We were promptly contacted about our
concerns about the cables and Eric offered to come back to point them
out to us.  We will definitely use them again in the future.

They were great. We just bought a new house and we had them come out and give a quote on the cabling of a large Red Naples tree. They had about a month backup on their schedule, which might have been due to the hurricane, which is understandable. They had to use bucket truck and a guy climb to the tree and I think the price was reasonable considering the work they did. The cable held during the last two storms.

Barttlet's was one of four quotes we got for the job. they were neither the highest nor the lowest. The gentleman that came out to estimate the job was very nice, knowledgeable and seemed to care about the trees. He talked me out of removing a tree, dsaying that after the trim it would be better shaped and safe for many more years.
I chose Bartlett's primarily because they were going to use climbers rather than  bucket trucks. I thought (correctly it turns out) that there would be less damage to the yard without having heavy equipment driving on the soft autumn lawn.
After returning the contract I received an email confirmation and the very next day there was a knock on the door at 7:50 am asking if could do the trimming that day. I was very surprised by the short turnaround. 
I was there for the first two hours but then had to leave them on their own. When I returned that evening the yard was clean and there was hardly a trace of the presence of three workmen nor the two trucks and chipper.
