Worst experience ever. Contracted Last Feb. They kept putting me off and never showed up. One excuse after another. Fired them in Aug. and have been fighting to get my deposit back since. I believe they never intended to do the work and have no intention of returning my money. Pretty much theft. No way to run a business.

Extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience. I hired Eric's team to cut down 3 trees, grind the stumps and fill the holes with topsoil. They came out and cut the trees down in October 2020 but completely overfilled their trucks so as they drove away, a bunch of their load fell out the back all over my street (see photo) and throughout town actually. Neighbors quickly complained so I had to go out and sweep the ground up tree pieces from the street in the pouring rain as Eric's team didn't respond to my texts or calls. A few weeks later they came out to grind the stumps and clean up the street but didn't bring any topsoil. After calling them for months now (it's August 2021) and hearing every excuse in the book from the office staff, I ended up buying my own topsoil and doing the work myself as kids running through a yard with 3 giant holes is completely unsafe and unacceptable. Assuming they might be practical given I spent over $3k on the job, I asked for a small refund/credit for the topsoil which was not delivered and they continue to stall, delay and offer excuses without returning any payment to me. I would not recommend them at all - try a different tree service company.

Eric has the skilled workers and equipment to get the job done right. I have used Eric's Tree Service twice and this most recent experience was just as good as the first. The crew was courteous and proficient and showed respect for my property. Tree and debris removal is no easy task but the crew seemed to tackle the job with relative ease. My previous experience would certainly lead me to contact them again for any future tree related services again.

On site work went very well. Workers were skilled and polite and worked efficiently. High respect for customer's property. Equipment brought was excellent and in good condition. Workers had proper PPE and worked safely. I was NOT notified before the crew arrived. Contractor to customer communications is poor and needs to be improved.

Showed up unexpectedly in my yard ready to cut,, not on the scheduled date. interdepartmental & Lack of Scheduling & communication with customer!!! Lack of providing Cert of Insurance to customer in a timely fashion, CLEAN UP of customers yard and PERSONAL property needs to be addressed!! No communicating with customer on job site after completion!!!! Where wood should be left !!! Left work tools on property Left liquid bottle ( garbage) on customer property!!! Additional work requested ,, refused!! Office manager on site 9/18 to review debris /photos

Excellent work and even better crew. Had 7 trees taken down, three of the trees were massive oaks near mine and my neighbors house and near some power lines. Took most of the day to complete the job. The crew arrived early and worked through the heat. No slackers in the crew, everyone worked hard. The foreman was excellent and stopped in to make sure I had no issues. My neighbors got a kick out of watching the workers climb the trees and use the crane. Log truck came the next day to pick up the logs. Took him a few hours to clean up. Very thorough and entertaining to watch. Stump grinding crew came about 2 weeks later to finish up the job, they were great as well and in and out in a couple hours.

This could not have been more impressive. in and out in less than 4 hours and everything cleaned up like they were never here. Courteous and professional crew lead who listend to all concerns up front. A great experience.

Many large limbs were lowered with ropes, no damage to property, in and out in less than 4 hours. Clean up was very good, raking and pickup of small branches was very complete.

Excellent! Our project was challenging, it involved total removal of several trees and pruning of others. Most of the trees had limited access for equipment and required a variety of machines due to sensitive areas, from very large to relatively lighter and smaller machines. The sensitive areas included leaching system, electrical wires, limbs hanging over our house and over a lakefront. With a bad extended weather forecast the job had to be completed on the nice days available. Eric's motivated team came with plenty of firepower and his foreman called for more when necessary. Due to expert rigging no limbs fell where they shouldn't. The job was completed on time with no damage, including every plant and bush surviving with no harm done. The pruning was done to perfection. All debris was removed, the property was left clean. Thanks to Eric and his team!

We had a little trouble with miscommunication, but the project itself went very well. I wanted 4 trees removed. The specific issues involving each tree were discussed and agreed upon, and Eric pointed out another tree that I hadn’t realized was diseased and in danger of coming down on my house. The crew was polite and professional, and they left the yard clean and neat. They had to come back to grind the stumps because of an equipment problem. I had asked that I be called before they came, and that wasn’t done, but they did come back and complete the job nicely. All in all, a good job.

Eric came to my home the next day after I called to give me a price and explain work. Eric took the time to sit down with me and explain payment options. He did not give me the hard sell salesmen speech. He did the work I asked for and his whole team were the hardest workers I have ever had the pleasure to watch. They finished a job I thought would take at least three days in just one day. When they left my house it was cleaner than before they arrived. I am very glad I had Eric's tree service take care of my trees.

Great! professional, courteous, flexible. They cut down tree that had uprooted during storm, chipped and removed branches, piled logs for us, and removed stump. Also trimmed low hanging branches from other surrounding trees at no cost. Would hire again.

As good as can be...good crew!

The characteristic that stood out when I first met with the owner was "knowledgeable" and "personable". However, as time passed, I realized that this company is VERY busy...and that led to some dissatisfaction on our end. I needed a large silver maple in our back yard trimmed back because several heavy branches were overhanging our deck and house. The owner came out to provide the estimate. I liked that he cares about trees and tree health, and was not just interested in cutting for cutting's sake. The price seeme4d reasonable for what he was estimating, though I have no experience in this area. It was a lot for us, but considering how long they were there, I can't really complain. Both Eric and his crew were super courteous and professional. My dissatisfaction arose from a couple factors. One: how difficult it was to actually get the service scheduled after the initial estimate. It took several weeks of me following up and asking for an appointment. I would have been fine with a delay if that had been mentioned up front; but the expected appointment never happened. They were also late on the day of the appointment, but didn't call to tell me they would be. Two: though the crew was great at their jobs and super courteous, they finished (as far as they were concerned) and packed up without asking if I was okay with the trimming. I would have liked a bit more of the tree cut back, but was never asked before the job was, in their mind, completed. (To be more specific, they DID show me the work as they were leaving, but by then it was too late for me to ask for anything more.) We called to follow up, but it was the same problem: we were told someone would come out and look at the tree, but that hasn't happened yet. Overall, I was pleased with the work that was done, aside from wishing they had trimmed just a bit more. But I was not happy with how much I had to follow up and stay on top of the process. Again, I chalk it up to being busy, but that reason only goes so far when you're paying for a service.

I am completely thrilled. Eric's crew was amazing. Unbelievably professional and clean. They used a crane and other large machinery to take down and remove many large trees threatening to fall onto our home. They completed the work within 1 day and you would not even notice that they were here. (other than the fact the trees are gone) They were organized and cleaned up completely when done. The foreman even stopped what he was doing when I came home to explain what they were doing and show me the work, asked if I was happy with the progress and if I had any questions or concerns. He also made sure I was satisfied with the work before leaving and took the time to talk to me for a few minutes. His crew even cleaned the neighbors yard from the saw dust and clippings that blew over. They were also extremely professional. I was also very impressed with how each one of them worked as a team, keeping an eye on one another to make sure they were safe and always seemed to be helping each other with every task like a well oiled machine. Their price was extremely fair and there was no sales pitch or pressure to make me sign. The owner Eric is super nice and an amazingly knowledgeable arborist. He made us feel comfortable by explaining every detail of how they work and different options. Most importantly, they have the correct insurance to cover themselves which is paramount before hiring for this type of work. I strongly recommend that if you are planning to hire a tree service, be it cutting, trimming, fertilizing etc. that you reach out to Eric's Tree Service before hiring someone else. The trees were killed by gypsy moths and Emerald Ash borer and huge, 30” to 40” in diameter, way too big for me to tackle. One tree was in our pool area, surrounded by the pool fence, horse fence, our house and screen house. They used their 100 ft. crane, set up in the pasture and their tree climber who cut the limbs as the crane reached over and picked them out of the confined area and laid them on the ground in the pasture to cut up. Not a thing was damaged or even touched. The other trees were behind the horse fence with my neighbor’s property to the rear of the trees, also no place to drop them. They used the huge crane and tree climber again to do the job. The fourth tree was in the clear and they limbed it and set the huge trunk in my trailer with the crane for me to dispose of. Took only one day, and all cleaned up and nothing damaged at all. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Very friendly and pleasant guys, and very professional, even raked the pasture up, cleaning up all of the debris. Awesome.

What a professional team of hard workers. Incredibly efficient, excellent outcome. On thanking each guy in Eric's crew I heard back courteous words like "thank you for the work", and "glad we could be of service". These expressions of gratitude are rare and should by highly valued in our culture today.

We reached out to Eric’s Tree Service after a large storm hit our area. There were numerous trees that had been damaged including several that were quite large and very close to our home. These trees posed great danger to the structure as they were leaning significantly and could collapse at any time. With one call I was able to reach Eric’s Tree Service and speak directly to Eric about the situation. He recognized the urgency and was at the property within hours to survey the hazards. Within 24 hours he had a crew on site to remove the most immediate dangers and work through the remaining damage. I cannot say enough about how much we appreciate the work that was done and the way his crew treated our family and our home. They were impressive to watch, and the care and precision that they put into all that they do is obvious from start until finish.

We recently contracted with Eric's Tree Service to take down two 90+-foot pines and a couple somewhat smaller trees in fairly tight quarters relative to structures and other trees. All tree removal was done by crane. An obviously well-trained and motivated 6-man crew put on an impressive demonstration of cooperation and efficiency. There was clearly a work ethic here that does one good to see. And that has to come from the top. The scheduling was on the money a month away and the one-day job started and finished on time with everything cleaned up and in excellent shape. This was not a job for all contractors. Some others did not have the right equipment. Some said the job would take several days and would cost thousands of dollars more. My sense that Eric and his crew knew what they were doing was clearly borne out as the day went on. We're glad we had Eric do the work and highly recommend him. We would definitely call him again.

Everything went extremely well. They are very good and what they do - very professional. They did everything the committed to do and left our property in good shape. I would highly recommend them.

I could not have been happier! Two crews of 4 men each showed up on time and very professionally and carefully took down two large trees that were overhanging my house. They did a fantastic job and were very good to work with.
